Nice days prevail in their relationship, but there are also bad, very bad ones. Midoriya hates these days because he see his caramel full of pain and remorse those days. But he never knows why, Bakugou refuses to tell him, and he doesn't know how to help him. It's as if he has nightmares in the middle of the night, Bakugou refuses to talk about them either.
Every bad day starts as one of the good ones. They involuntarily get out of bed, dress lazily, and Bakugou angrily walk into the classroom with a smiling Midoria in a sling. The rest of the day they don't see each other that much, they just throw at each other glances, that's all.
Bakugou's bad thoughts usually come to him, but today he crashed into them. Mr. Spectacular Smart and someone he doesn't know.
"I don't understand how Midoriya can waste energy on him if he treats him exactly the same? He is just bullying him, and if he could, he would throw him off the cliff. ”That was all Katsuki heard, the rest was blurry, and he heard only snippets he couldn't get out of his head.
Like a soulless body, he shuffled to his room. He completely displaced that he should have waited for Izuku and then went to train with him. All he wants now is to watch the wall for hours and be consumed by the words that have stabbed him in the chest, the words of truth. The spectacle is right about something.
Tired, he collapsed on the bed and buried his face in the pillow. He hadn't been in his room in a while, he basically lived with Midoriya. This room seems somehow empty to him, he misses the smile of his little broccoli. He misses him, but does he miss him?
"Deku tries to be a friend with him and the only thing he gets is swearing."
He lay on his side and hugged the pillow. This is not like hugging him. He got used to the warmth of his body, the strong arm that kept him safe, his red lips transmitting the satisfying vibrations of his body. Heartbeat saying she's fine and with him. He never told him how his regular heartbeat could lull him to sleep. The nights when they are together, side by side, are those when he knows he will not fall into danger and never return.
"Tell a childhood friend to kill himself?"
Sometimes, when Izuku is asleep, Kacchan can't help but count his freckles, whether on his face or other parts of his body. Those little and cute freckles remind him of a sky full of stars. That's why the whole world means to him, Midoriya doesn't understand, but maybe one day he'll tell him. Even when they were younger, he sometimes had the urge to count every star on his face. Only recently did he realize how lucky he was to be able to kiss each of his stars.
"I heard about him bullying him."
When he finds out that Deku is without a quirk, he still can't describe the feeling today. His dream of being the number one hero team just disappeared. At that time, he felt bad because of his quirk. He had it, and one that could hurt people even when he was upset and couldn't keep up.
He was even more devoured that he became angry, as did his mother. He thought he had it in his genes, but his mother didn't have a fit of rage. His heart stopped beating as before, his heartbeat quickening and not slowing. It wasn't until Izuku told him he felt the same way that his heart slowed. His heartbeat returned to normal. She can calm him down.
"Poor Midoriya is still trying."
He never understood how it could happen that Izuku still like him even after all the things he's done, and even he felt a little more about him. And today, when they're together, he doesn't understand how he can feel so good in his presence that he let him see his tears when he first woke up from a nightmare. What happened to him?
"Did you see Deku looking at her? I think he feels something for her! "
Izuku often tells him how much he loves him, but he still feels he deserves someone better. Someone who's a girl, not a moody guy who treated him like a garbage bag.
He threw a blanket over himself and closed his eyes. He would have preferred to hide in Izuku's arms now, but he had done enough for him. He should stop bothering him. He loves him, yes, he doesn't tell him much, yeah, but he knows it. At least he hopes as much as not to leave him and let him be swallowed up again by the darkness.
He didn't come to Izuku that night. This happened for the first time, because bad days end with a nice evening in an embrace. When he left school and Katsuki was nowhere, he knew what was going on, so he gave him time, but he didn't expect him not to come. He knows he doesn't want to see him when he's in trouble, but he also knows that a long hug and the warmth of his grip will help him.
He quietly entered the dark room and hugged his sensitive roughneck around the waist.
"I'm here for you, I'm not going anywhere." He whispered softly as he felt him relax in his arms. What kind of boyfriend would he be if he left him in this place? He'd rather go through the day with him just to see him smile mischieved again the next morning and kiss him on the neck.
How does it feel to know that you are facing death face to face? We may not be afraid of death as such, but of the feeling we are leaving with. When the last thing we feel is a warm feeling of love, will it be easier?
