Chapter 5: Days Pass By

It was a normal month for him. He went to school, hung out with Valentina and Emila, and talked with Oliver. All he could ever think about lately was Oliver and his personality. Oliver had a nice character. He was kind and caring and looked out for people who were close to him. He closed his eyes and smiled. He was lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking about all of the things that could happen that day. He took his phone and looked at the date. It was June 18. Two more days until they met. As he was about to close his eyes he heard knocking on the door. 

“ Hey, Evan, how are you doing?” Noah asked behind the door.

Evan got up from the bed and opened the door for Noah and Skylar. Noah walked into his room, along with Skylar.

“Evan, we are worried about you. You have been super distant from us and not spending time with us. Is there anything going on?”  Skylar said with a sad tone.

Evan looked at both of them with a worried look. Will they find out about Oliver? Hopefully not. He had to think of something to say to them or else they would be suspicious. He started to scratch the bandages that he had on his arm. He was silent though just staring at them as tears were starting to come.

    “It's fine if you don't want to tell us anything. Just let us know what's going on sometimes, alright?” Noah hugged Evan in a tight embrace. 

    Skylar joined in a hug with them. Tears started to fall while Noah and Skylar left the room. He took a deep breath wiping the tears off of his face, and opened his laptop. He went onto the game that he and Oliver always played. He looked at his friend's list and saw that Oliver was online. His eyes gleamed and he smiled as he would always do. He opened the private chat with Oliver and started to type.

• Hey Oliver! Are you excited about the date? It is super close and I have a quick question for you.

• Yea sure ask away! And Yea I know I'm super excited to see you in person :) but ask any questions you have.

Evan smiled and laughed. Oliver always made him happy for some reason. A light blush appeared on his face.

• Well, what do you like? I want to get something for you as a present because we have been friends for so long and I want to give you a gift when we meet up.

• Oh, that's very considerate of you….I  like spicy foods, chocolate, and clothes. Clothes are a really weird thing to like but I like clothes.

• Oh okay! Don’t worry it is not weird at all. Just give me your sizes.

He was dying on the inside trying to not express it too much in the chat. He stared at the screen with a bright face. He chuckled at Oliver's responses. A blush started to creep up.

• I have to go to sleep now but I will chat with you tomorrow! See ya Oliver :D!!!!!

As Evan looked at the last message he realized why he liked Oliver so much. Oliver cares about him and Evan cares about Oliver. Evan laughed to himself about it. He couldn’t wait for the day to come. He got ready for bed with a smile on his face.
