I carefully trailed over to the door, picking up my stuff as I went, and shoving my old hand-me-down hat firmly onto my head, before weakly pushing the door to my room open. 

To my surprise, everybody was already awake, including Seth, who I might have expected to sleep in even more so then I had due to his theoretical lack of energy to cope with this world, which was shown heavily throughout his attitude to the day. 

“Morning Emery! What a lovely morning, is it not?” Tobi beamed, as energetic as always. It certainly wasn’t a surprise he was awake so early, however. 

“Yeah.. the sun is shining and all..” I yawned sleepily, rubbing my eyes again so as to keep myself awake. I had never felt this tired ever in my life. 

“I suppose you dearies will be wanting to head off as soon as possible?” Ash enquired, gazing out the window. 

“Yep! I would love to stay longer my dearest friend but I can simply not when there are patrols on the move! We must travel far away from here before word sets out…!” Tobi dramatically announced, though supposedly to Ash, to nobody in particular. Seth nodded in agreement. 

“Ah! I almost forgot dearies, here is a disguise for Mr Seth.. I even made him a little matching outfit to make it look doubly realistic! How about you go try it on sweetheart?” Ash handed Seth the disguise ear extensions, contacts and matching hat and cloak (to cover his regular clothes), and shooed him into his guest room to allow him to try things out in the room’s portrait mirror. They seemed almost desperate to see Seth wearing the disguise, and sat on the edge of their chair waiting for him to come out. 

1 minute..

…

2 minutes…

….

“Seth are you alright..?” My voice hoarsely spoke out to the silence.

Nothing…

Then..

“I look like an idiot…” came a muffled voice from the room. 

“Oh Seth! None of us would judge you my dear friend! Open up and come out to show us! We must get moving soon, the clock is ticking!!” Tobi assured in his usual friendly tone, trying to coax Seth into coming out of his hiding spot. 

“…whatever.” The voice came again, as the door slowly creaked open to reveal Seth, dressed in grey wizard attire, with bright pink contacts and pointed ears to match. It was an incredibly well crafted disguise.

“Wow Seth you look…” I muttered in awe.

“I look like a fool..” Seth said, pulling the rim of the hat down to hide his bright pink eyes, blush slowly creeping onto his face. 

“You do not look foolish at all my friend! In fact, I think you would make an awfully good wizard!” Tobi stated, impressed. 

“I think you look perfect deary, there is no need to fret about it..” Ash soothed in their mesmiring, calming voice, now relaxed in their chair as pleased as ever with their own handiwork. 

“..whatever…” Seth looked away from us all, embarrassed. 

Tobi hopped out his chair. 

“And with that I think we must be off now! Ah, farewell my dearest Ash!” He said, wiping his imaginary tear from his cheek again.

“Good bye darlings, if you ever need help, call for me and the wind shall deliver my help..” Ash trailed on, waving us out the shop. I waved back as I trailed behind Seth and Tobi, both leading the way trying to get a move on as fast as possible. 

It was going to be a rather long journey from here.
