Chapter 7: The Day Which Hearts Flutter
Evan woke up quickly by his alarm clock blaring the sounds of annoyance. He decided to skip school today, not caring that he would fail. He quickly got changed into the clothes he picked out from last night while checking the time. It was 10:30, which is good, because he has enough time to get everything ready. He grabbed a bag from the corner of his room, placing the chocolates in it. He grabbed his wallet, his phone, and unlocked the door rushing downstairs.
“Bye, mom and dad! I am going out! I’ll be back by 9 or 10!” He yelled rushing, not letting his parents be able to respond in time.
He ran to the nearest cafe on his way to the place they were meeting up. It was a nice day out with no clouds in the sky. It was only the sun shining in the sky with nothing else around it. He noticed the cafe, went in, and ordered breakfast. After he ate breakfast, he planned to get more things for Oliver. He was too excited to be kept still by anyone. He quickly went into a florist store, buying some lavenders and plants. He hoped Oliver would like it as much as he did. He smiled while continuing to walk to the place they were going to meet up. He finally got to the place they were meeting up at. It was a nice beach along the ocean with people coming in and out of it. He took a seat at one of the tables. He checked the time on his phone. It was 12:56 pm so he decided he would take a short nap on the table.
For what felt like minutes, he was woken up by someone tapping on his shoulder. He quickly got up from the chair knocking the chair over in the process.
“Ah! I'm so sorry I’ll move right away!” Evan quickly apologized and started to pack up his things.
As he was about to leave he felt a hand on his hand. He looked down at the hand then back up to see the face of the person.
“Evan, calm down! It's me, Oliver!” Oliver said calmly, bringing Evan forward towards him.
At this point, he was nonfunctional and was only able to stare at Oliver. He never imagined Oliver to look like this. He had brown, fluffy hair with blue bangs and he was wearing a sweater and jeans. His heart fluttered as blush rose to his cheeks.
“Hey, Evan, you okay there?” Oliver chuckled, staring into his eyes.
“Oh, uh, yeah, I’m good. I almost forgot, here is the present that I got for you!” Evan scrambled out of his grasp while he was grabbing the bag and giving it to Oliver.
“Oh, you didn't have to, Evan! Thank you so much!” Oliver chuckled, gazing at Evan while he was receiving the gifts.
This was too much for him, as he fell forwards and fainted only hearing Oliver's voice before he fell.
