Red and Adrien walked into a big gray cold room with bars hanging from the ceiling and different platforms at different heights coming out of the ground.
“Wow,” Adrien said, looking around.
“Let’s get started,” Red said, cracking her knuckles. “First we stretch.” Red began stretching her arms and then her legs. Adrien did the same, following Red’s instructions.
After stretching, Red cleared her throat, “Do you know how to turn into a bird, jaguar, and mouse?” Red looked at Adrien waiting for an answer.
“Yes,” Adrien answered.
“Good, then just follow my lead,” Red said. She then ran really fast and turned into a red feather raven and flew through the bars on the ceiling. Red then flew right to the different platforms each with different heights. She then turned into a red furred jaguar and lept from platform to platform. Red then turned into a red furred mouse and scurried over to Adrien. She then turned back to her normal self in one big cloud of bright red.
Red looked at Adrien. “Your turn,” Red said, gesturing for him to go do what she just did.
He hesitated for a second and then ran. He jumped and turned into a black raven and flew through the bars on the ceiling. Adrien then flew right to the platforms and turned into a black jaguar. He began leaping from platform to platform. Adrien then turned into a black furred mouse and scurried over to Red. He then turned back to his normal self in one big cloud of black.
“How’d I do?” Adrien said, looking at Red for approval.
“You did…” Red began. “Ok, for your first time. Now, let’s try something else.”
After training, Red led Adrien to another big room with a huge deep pool.
“Are we going swimming?” Adrien asked, looking kind of confused.
“Something like that. You know how into a sea creature right?” Red asked.
“Yeah,” Adrien said.
“Follow my lead,” Red then began taking off her belt. She then placed it on the ground. Red then ran to the pool and jumped in. She turned into a red dolphin and then came back up to the surface as if waiting for Adrien to follow her.
Adrien then hesitated for a moment and then ran and jumped into the pool following Red. He turned into a black squid.
They both then swam to the deepest part of the pool where Red led him to a tunnel. They went through the tunnel which led them to a platform with a door.
Red jumped up on the platform and turned back into her normal self. She was now soaking wet and her ponytail clung to her back. Adrien jumped up next to Red and turned into his normal self. He was now soaking wet too. His black hair clung to his face. He pushed his hair out of his eyes and saw that Red was watching him, her face pink with a light blush. Adrien began to blush. “Why is she looking at me like that?” Adrien thought.
Red turned to face the door and cleared her throat. “We’re here.”
Red turned the doorknob and opened the door. She then walked inside and Adrien followed close behind. As soon as Adrien walked inside, Red closed the door.
Inside was a huge room with huge bookshelves filled with books that led to the ceiling. To the right was a fireplace and a couch.
“Wow,” Adrien said, looking around.
“I know. This is my favorite place to just hangout. All the books in here are about shapeshifting and spy stuff. My favorite book is The Secrets of Shapeshifting. You should read it. It tells you all about shapeshifting and why you shapeshift,” Red said, looking really happy. She picked a book off a shelf and held it up. The book read “The Secrets of Shapeshifting”.
“Why are you showing me this?” Adrien asked.
Red then dropped her smile and looked at Adrien. “I don’t know. For some reason, I trust you.” Red was quiet for a moment and then said, “Plus, I’ve never met another shapeshifter and no one is able to hold their breath for so long to come down here.”
“Red…,” Adrien looked at Red, looking genuine. “You don’t remember me.”
Red looked confused.
Adrien looked at the ground. “Do you remember that boy you used to play with next door?”
Red’s face seemed to glow with recognition.
“I’m that boy,” Adrien said, looking up at Red. “I used to play with you when we were little, even back then you called yourself Red.” Adrien smiled. “Then I heard about your parents and rushed over to your house, but you were already gone.” Adrien stopped talking. He looked really sad.
Red ran over to Adrien and hugged him. “I knew I recognized you!”
Adrien hugged Red back.
“I missed you. I tried to contact you, but I didn’t know how. I always wondered what happened to you,” Red said looking up at Adrien.
“I missed you too, Red.” Adrien smiled.
Red hugged Adrien again.
“You know I used to have a crush on you,” Adrien said, blushing.
“Really?” Red said, looking back up at Adrien.
“Yeah. I mean, how could I not? You were so cool when we were little and pretty. You were my best friend,” Adrien said, looking at Red adoringly. “You haven’t changed at all. If anything you’ve gotten taller and prettier.”
“Adrien,” Red said, blushing.
Adrien hugged Red.
“You know I used to have a crush on you too,” Red said, getting Adrien’s attention. Adrien looked down at Red. “I mean you were my guy best friend. I thought you were really cute. You always had my back. You haven’t changed much either. If anything you’ve gotten a lot taller and even more handsome. You actually look…” Red looked down at the ground. Her face was almost as red as her hair. “...Kinda hot.”
Adrien stared at Red in shock for a second. “I like you, Red.”
Adrien then cupped Red’s head in his hands. He kissed her. Long and passionately.
The kiss ended and Red looked at Adrien. “I like you too, Adrien. Also, my real name is Rory.”
Red kissed Adrien again. They kissed again and again. Red’s hands were now buried in Adrien’s hair. Adrien’s arms were wrapped around Red’s waist.
After they finished kissing, Adrien looked at Red and asked, “Now that I have you back, will you be my girlfriend, Rory?”
“Of course,” Red said, pulling Adrien into another kiss.
