It's been a week since the little incident, since then I have been forbidden to use magic until my new tutor teaches me to have control over it. Today is the long awaited day, but I don't have any information about who she is or what she looks like, apparently mom wanted to keep the mystery for some reason. Anyway, I'm reading and going through several books in the library about the different types of magic that exist and their workings, I searched a lot to find small mentions in books that have nothing to do with magic, or that their main theme doesn't seek to focus on it. I spent the whole week researching about it and found some very interesting information. Apparently, each race has a certain affinity with a certain element: we have an affinity with fire, humans with the four fundamental elements (fire, water, air and earth), elves with three of the four fundamental elements exchanging fire for light, and demons with shadows. Of course, there are more races: such as dwarves, beasts, giants, among others, but I could only find information about the above four.
When continuing with the search, I found that some races can procreate between them and form a new one: the hybrids. There are, or existed, hybrids of elves with humans and dwarves with humans, it is possible that it also happens with the other races. The methods of procreation can vary according to those who carry it out. After procreation and a certain period of time, a new being is born and can have the physical and mental characteristics of both species, be it strength, intellect or magic. But hybrids are not well regarded, apparently they are abhorrent and a disgrace to the races that spawned them, most have died in the Great 100 Years War. The only information I found about it is that several races came into conflict and a war broke out that lasted 100 years, the winners were the alliance of humans, elves and dwarves. We lost and were expelled to the northern mountains, the demons also lost and were expelled to the eastern islands. The humans, elves and dwarves took the territories that belonged to us and divided them, the same happened with the territory of the demons.
After a few hours of reading, my new tutor arrived.

Today is my first day as a tutor, I'm so nervous! I have never done anything like this before. Lilith has helped me a lot, so I took this job as a favor for it, but now I have a lot of doubts about it. My job has always been to understand magic and find ways to strengthen it, not to teach children. There are certainly more people qualified for the job than I am. I am only a researcher of the ancient magic of our predecessors, not a tutor. But here I am, right in front of Lilith's house. I'd better go, then I'll apologize to Lilith and as good as she is she'll forgive me, no doubt there won't be any inconvenience.
"I'm sorry, Lilith," I said quietly.
"What are you apologizing for?"
"Aaaah!"
After the terrible scare, I look behind me quickly and there is Lilith with some bags in her hands.
"What are you standing here for, why don't you come in?" Lilith asked confused.
"I..."
"Come on, Ray's waiting for you."
Lilith takes the cloth bags I was carrying in one hand and with the other she grabs my right arm and pulls me inside.
"Saraa, where's Ray?" Lilith asked aloud.
"In the library, as usual!" Saraa replied shouting even louder.
"Make yourself comfortable, dear. I'll introduce you."
I nod my head as I wait for Lilith to bring her son.
"Wow, what a beautiful home you have," I commented quietly admiring their home.
While I wait for Lilith I observe the big mansion, no doubt they have a lot of money. I should not expect less from the queen's sister, although I imagined it would be bigger but being Lilith I understand why the size.
After a few brief minutes, Lilith arrives with a little boy who should not even have reached his first septennium. At first sight he is a really beautiful boy: he has white hair just like his mother's, red eyes that seem to shine like a Ruby and his sweet innocent face generates so much tenderness, I want to hug him!
"Well, I'll introduce them. Ray, this is Asara, your new tutor. Asara, this is Rayzel, your new apprentice," Lilith said with some formality. "I hope you get along well and learn a lot together."
"It will be a pleasure to learn from someone like you, tutor Asara," the boy replied with a small bow. "Please teach me and take care of me."
"Of course, it will be a great pleasure to teach you everything I know."
He' s such a sweetheart! I think I was worrying for nothing. I have to concentrate and teach him the best way I can. I can't let him or Lilith down, they trusted me and I will give my all to meet their expectations.

"Ray, where are you?"
"Over here."
Apparently my new tutor has arrived, Mom came all the way to the library to pick me up and introduce us. After a few seconds of walking she gently approaches my desk.
"Reading as usual," Mom said before letting out a slight sigh. "It's good that you're an industrious child, but you should get out more to get some air and have fun playing in the yard."
"Mom, I'm the only kid in this house. There's not much I can do surrounded by adults each with their own lives and chores. I'd rather not bother."
"Wow, that sounded very grown up of you. You remind me of your Uncle Amos in some ways," Mom replied with a slight smile, "but that will change today, I will introduce you to your new tutor who will be taking care of you and teaching you all about magic."
"Right, today is the day," I said as I stood up from my chair.
"Wait, tutor?"
Mom smiles at me and together we walk to the living room where this person is waiting for us.
Crossing the big door of the library, after looking for a few seconds, it is easy to notice the right profile of a woman curiously looking at some pictures that are in the room. The first thing I notice is her hair color: light brown, it is the first time I see such a color in this world, it reminds me of me in my previous life. I move closer to inspect her and see that she is wearing brown sandals with very thin straps, black shorts down to her knees and a green shirt that is almost unnoticeable as an unbuttoned white tunic covers most of her torso and reaches her knees. For some reason, she reminds me of the typical stereotype of a female investigator, no doubt it must be because of the tunic.
After a brief introduction by mom, the three of us are here.... well, there will be two of us soon.
"Well, my work here is done," Mom said with a few airs and graces. "I'll leave you to get to know each other better and start working together."
A few seconds pass and no one says a word. Looking at her again I notice that she is a little nervous, she probably doesn't talk much to other people or is not her specialty children. I'll break the ice.
"Tutor Asara, can you come with me to the library for a moment? I've recently been reading some books that I don't quite understand and I'm hoping you can give me a hand with that."
"Yes, of course. I'd be happy to help. I mean, it is my job after all. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha," Asara replied with a light, forced laugh.
Together we head to the library and I point to my desk so we can sit down. Slowly I show him some of the books I have read and summarize what I have managed to interpret from them. He was surprised that I have learned other languages with the goal of reading more.
"These are the two books I've been reading these past few days," I said as I picked up two books from a huge pile of other books.
The books I took were: 'Fire in its pure state. Advanced control of the elements. Volume I' and 'How primary elemental magic works: wind'. After taking them, I pass them to him so he can see them better. For some reason, when he takes one of the books, he gives a slight smile, a very sincere one.
"I know them very well. When I studied on my own in the palace library I read them very often, especially this one," said Asara, taking the first book in her right hand.
"Well, what can I help you with? What part don't you understand?"
"As I read it I could understand several things, such as fire fortification and enhancement techniques, but at first I found it hard to understand the mechanism of the magic. I think I have solved the riddle, but I may have missed something, so I would like you to explain it to me and, if possible, a small demonstration," I said remembering a certain event.
"Sure, let's start with the basics first. How does magic work? Magic can work in different ways: depending on the race or depending on the subject. The former is the most common, the latter we'll look at another day as it can be a bit complex and is very unlikely to happen."
Little by little her nervousness is fading. It's good that she feels more and more comfortable with me.
"Continuing with the first point, each race has its own way of using magic. On the one hand, humans and elves share the same mechanism when it comes to using magic and that is due to a special physical characteristic, their mana core," Asara explained.
"Wait, mana core? Only humans and elves possess it?" I asked.
"Yes. It is because humans and elves are descended from the same God and inherited his greatest gift. In contrast, we, although we were also created by the same God, did not inherit his gift."
"And why is that?"
"As I said, we are a creation. Humans and elves, on the other hand, were procreated. We were created for the purpose of protecting humans and elves, that is, we are their guardians. Well, that was before, we are not like that anymore," Asara answered seriously.
"I'm sorry. I've gone off the deep end. We were talking about the magic mechanism and I ended up lecturing you on history, sorry."
"No, you don't have to apologize. It was me asking about it, so don't apologize," I said trying to calm her down.
A few seconds after this scene someone enters the room.
"Things are going great around here, I see you're having fun," Mom said with a slight smile on her face.
"Lilith."
"We're fine, Mom," I replied.
"I'm sorry to interrupt you, but lunch is ready. Come and eat and then continue with your studies."
"Of course, we're coming," Asara replied a little excited.
"Shall we go?" I said to Asara as I offered her my hand.
She is surprised for a second, then takes it. I offer Mom my free hand and together the three of us leave the library.
