Chapter 2

Broken Sunset:

The Guyjin Mob Arrives

 "My dearest Macarath…You have to protect not just humans but other weak creatures as well. Remember, all life in this world is precious."

      The hero is with his beloved wife by a bed of flowers outside. They admire the scenery near their home.  

“I am the blazing champion of hope! No one can defeat me! Admiral Bombshell’s days will soon be numbered.”

      His wife giggled back at his words as he got right up.

"I'll do whatever it takes to protect everyone. I can promise that. I will unite this world and cut any foe in my way."

“You are a loving father, husband, and king to our people. Never forget who you are.” She whispered back.

     She gives him a final kiss before he sets off to war.

     The scene immediately cuts to the middle of a devastating battlefield.

“GUYJIN!!!”

     Macarath blindly chases after the suspect responsible for the ambush. He soon comes to a halt. The sight of dead children scarred the back of his mind.

“No….”

     He stood motionless in shock.

"I…I couldn't save anyone…I failed…"

     Jars filled with gasoline immediately shatter on Macarath, igniting his entire body in flames. Gunshots then rain from a distance bringing the hero to the ground. Guyjin and his gang stepped out from the shadows, guns still smoking off from all the heat.

“You stirred a ruckus taking out my best killers. For that, I cannot let you live. I'd act professional and say it's just business, but you know it's not my style if it isn't personal.”

      Guyjin points a gun at Macarath's head.

“Time for you to die, baby!”

     All Macarath could hear was the gang chanting his name over and over. Then, finally, Guyjin pulls the trigger, and everything goes white.

“Macarath….Macarath….Hey Macarath!”

     Back to the current time, Magvamax alerts his attention back to a blind boy tugging his arm.

"Hey, are you daydreaming again?"

"I'm here, Touya."

     The two gaze at the night sky from the window of a barn.

“Thanks again for coming to watch the meteor shower with me. It really means a lot. If it’s not too much, can you tell me how it looks since I can’t see?”

     The meteor shower commenced as streaming lights filled the night sky. From another side, Ran and her friends watch the view from a distant hill. Magvamax spots a glint burning within the atmosphere.

“Something is arriving.”

     The object crashes at the hill's peak, causing a disturbance within the area. Ran and her friends immediately rush to investigate the matter.

"Over here, guys!"

      Yoko was the first to arrive on the scene. A great crater illuminated the night before her very eyes. At the center, she spots a strange meteorite.  

 "Hey, something is coming from that rock! Should we smash it?"  

“No, hold up!” Ran said.

      Everyone stood their ground, and Yoko didn't hesitate to have her bat ready.

“It’s a woman.” Miyu pointed.

     A girl in a dress soon emerges from the debris of the meteorite. She quickly collapses to the ground as Ran rushes over to help her.

"Hey, are you ok? Who are you?"

"The name is Ami…I am the guardian of the Sacred Fire. Your world is in grave danger….and my time is short. So you must be Ran, right?"

“Wait…How do you know my name? And what do you mean danger?” Ran asked.

      Many questions still crossed her mind as Ami extracted a bubble from her body. The significant drop contained a flame burning inside. She holds it out in her hands.
