up from his coma. He laid there in his bed, completely limp with his eyes shut…never opening. And there was Aleksander, there with him through it all, he visited every day and tried to talk to Sabre. He had hoped Sabre would wake up, he stayed hopeful. He didn’t want to lose anyone else, especially not Sabre.
Aleksander started writing in a journal if there was anything new with Sabre’s condition.
“1/27/XXXX
Sabre’s condition seems to be stabilizing. They expect him to wake up soon and his fingers twitch sometimes when he hears talking or loud noises. I think he’ll wake up soon.”
“12/31/XXXX
Sabre still hasn’t woken up…It’s my birthday today and it’s been 3 years. The doctors are planning to take him off the life support, I don’t want to lose him…god please just let him wake up I don’t want to lose this man that I’ve fallen in love with.”
“7/21/XXXX
I convinced the doctors to keep him on life support but he hasn’t woken up yet…but he’s still stable. I don’t know what to do anymore, nothing we’re doing is working…”
Aleksander could only persuade them for a few more months to keep Sabre on life support. Aleksander had turned into a total mess, he wasn’t organized anymore and was gambling all of his savings to keep himself sane while he waited for Sabre. He was drinking constantly and was a sobbing mess.
BRING!
Aleksander’s phone started ringing, and the half-drunken mess grabbed the phone and answered. “H-...Hello..?” “Is this Aleksander Kosenov?” It was a doctor on the phone. Aleksander lumped in his throat expecting them to say they took Sabre off the life support and that he was dead. “Y-Yes this is him.” “Sabre has woken up and is currently at the hospital, we need you to come over to sign the discharge papers and take him home.” Aleksander at that moment felt his whole world turn around as he had tears in his eyes.
“I’ll be there right away!” The black-haired man hung up quickly and ran out of the house. He took the bus as quickly as he could and ran into the hospital. He went to the front desk to get the visitors' sticker and ran to Sabre’s hospital room. He opened the door and there his fiance was, his blonde-haired pale-skinned man. The same red fiery eyes he remembered and the same face.
He stood there in shock and tears as he trembled looking at Sabre. Sabre looked at him while he was sitting on the bed chuckling softly holding his arms out. “Don’t just stand there, c’mere.” He said, almost immediately he was tackled into a tight hug by Aleksander who became a crying mess burying his face in Sabre’s chest. “I missed you so much一 Don’t ever do that again to me please…” He pleaded, Sabre could only whisper little nothings and rub his fiance’s back.
Things seemed back to normal over the next few months, Aleksander was back to his usual self no longer being an alcoholic. Sabre was back to his studies as a historian, but under their facades, they were traumatized by what happened. Sabre couldn’t even hear the word “Nick” without going into a panic while Aleksander would start bawling if someone talked about Nick or the incident. They only had each other in this situation, no one understood the pain they were going through because they weren’t there.
But Nick wasn’t done with these two yet, he was far from done. After being put in jail he changed, he was colder and didn’t give two licks about who he threatened and confronted. Though, there were two people he would murder (or attempt to) any day. Sabre and Aleksander.
It's been a long time since Saber had passed, his boyfriend Aleksander has been heartbroken. When Alek stumbles over something accidentally it changes everything. Though Alek soon realizes that Saber is not the same from memory. But when things go downhill, he found somebody who can bring him back up no matter what happens, and he'll never go back on his decisions of intense change. For better or for worse.
