“Blyze?” Aurora exclaimed, she didn’t expect Blyze to be here already. She threw herself at him. Blyze laughed and wrapped his arms around her.
“That’s my name, don’t wear it out,” Blyze said with a smirk. Aurora rolled her eyes at him. He was very confident about himself, but that was one of the many things she loved about him. Those things included his fiery, red hair, which matched both his bold personality and his elemental powers. Unlike most people with an arrogant personality, Blyze had the power to back his attitude. He was the top fire elementalists in his age group at camp.
“You're 18 now, shouldn’t you be more mature?” Aurora teased.
“But isn’t my immaturity what you love about me?” Blyze shot right back.
“Whatever you wanna believe,” Aurora retorts, not completely denying it. Blyze smirked, knowing that he was right.
“I gotta go now, see ya later,” Blyze said, giving Aurora a peck on the cheek.
“Bye,” Aurora said. She then looked around, and when she saw the coast was clear, she dissolved into a shadow, reappearing in front of her cabin.
“I could get you into trouble for that,” Clipse said flatly, scaring Aurora. Aurora laughed sheepishly and shrugged.
“Hey Rora, wassup?” A male voice said.
“Shayde! I missed you,” she turned around and jumped into their arms.
“Missed you too,” Shayde laughed.
“You too should just date,” Clipse said, rolling her eyes.
“What?” Aurora and Shayde said at the same time.
“You two act like a couple already anyway.”
“No, we’re just friends,” Aurora said, confused.
“Best friends,” Shayde agreed.
“Whatever,” Clipse sighed, wandering away. Aurora looked at Shayde, puzzled by what Clipse had said.
“Ignore her. Let’s go in, I'll help you unpack.” Shayde said, answering Aurora’s unsaid question. Aurora walked into the cabin, slowly smiling as she opened the door. She had missed the cabin. The cabin was filled with shadows, which suited the inhabitants, the only light sources being rock lamps that gave off a soft glow. Aurora immediately darted towards her room in the back that she shares with Shayde. She had always taken that one, so she was confused as to why there was already a bag on top of her bed. She looked back towards Shayde, however he looked equally confused. Suddenly, a girl walked out of the bathroom and started towards Shayde.
“Hey there, handsome. The name’s Corrus,” the new girl purred. “Hope you don’t mind me taking this bed.” Corrus pushed past Aurora, coming close to Shayde.
“I was hoping maybe, the two of us could hang out, you know, by ourselves?” she said, looking at Aurora with clear disgust. Before Shayde could even say a word, Aurora grabs Corrus’s bag off the bed and throws it into one of the newbie rooms.
“EXCUSE ME! What do you think you’re doing?” Corrus demanded, “I claimed this bed already.” She scowled and put her hands on her hips.
“You’re what, 15? He’s too old for you, one. Two, this room is reserved for the seniors.” Aurora retorted. Corrus stalked out the room, clearly disgruntled.
