“Okay, Sylvia Piora, you next.” Sylvia had an arctic fox cub, he created a wall of ice that no one could break through and trust me, people tried. All the students have cubs, I have a baby phoenix too, but he’s still really strung. Vera had a black bear cub that did not fit her personality at all. It roared and sent out a shockwave, breaking the ground with its voice, it was very impressive. The class went by as normal, people’s familiars all had different abilities. None of them were as strong as Horus though. I’ll admit Bell’s was very powerful, but still not nearly close to Horus’s level of power. Bell’s familiar created an abundance of snow balls, they crashed into the ground, creating small craters.
Detention
I walked into the classroom and found Andrea and her friend Jada chatting. I stood for a moment, feeling that I was not supposed to be there. They looked my way, “Hey guys!” I exclaimed with a smile.
“Yo! You’re here.” Jada smiled, running over to me, and engulfing me into a hug.
“Um, hi.” I said nervously.
She was thrown back by Andrea, she wrapped herself around me, pushing her body against my back. Her forearm was touching my throat as she spoke, and she was gripping my shoulder tightly, “Mine.” she growled.
“Oh man, and she was so cute too.” Jada whined.
“Uh, um, not to be a bitch, but I’m not anyone's possession.” I held onto Andrea’s arm lightly, “Can you let me go?”
She pulled her arm away, “Sorry.” she apologized. I went to sit down, but found that Jada was in front of me once more.
She pinched my chin, I looked up at her with an inquisitive look, “So you’re not Andrea’s?” she questioned. I shook my head no, she pushed her tongue into my mouth. My eyes went wide, I bit down on her tongue, and flew back.
“Jada! What the fuck?!” Andrea exclaimed. I rushed over to her, and hung onto her arm, burying my face into her chest. “Uh, um, you okay?” She patted my head, soothing my nerves. I saw in the corner of my eye, Jada gave Andrea a thumbs up.
“No.” I responded angrily, “Your creepy friend kissed me.”
“Um, I’m not creepy.” Jada commented.
“Anyways, I gotta go, see you later!” she waved, she snapped and was not in the room anymore. I got off of Andrea and started walking back to my bag, she grabbed my wrist, gently pressing her lips against mine.
“Sorry, I got jealous.” she smiled sadly.
“Don’t do that shit, I’ll misunderstand, I told you this already!” I yelled. She smiled apologetically before grabbing her bag, “Can you do it?”
“Do what?” she inquired.
“You said you were struggling with the teleportation, can you do it?” I questioned once more.
“Ah, yeah. Um sort of. I can do it, I just end up in the wrong space.” she explained. “Can you help?”
“Oh, c’mon. You know I can’t” I laughed. “Let’s go to the library.”
“You wanna skip detention again?” she chuckled.
“Yeah, yeah. I wanna read more about phoenixes.” I clarified. “I had to change Horus back into a ring because of detention.”
She ruffled my hair, “Alright then, to the library!” she exclaimed with a warm smile.
We walked to the library, “Oh, shit tickets. I forgot my library card.” I groaned, “Okay, you go on ahead. I’ll have a teleporter take me to the dorms.”
“Um, you can just summon it.” she suggested.
“Oh you’re right! Yes, I shall do that.” I agreed. I summoned my card, and we shuffled off to the library. We got there, “Okay let’s see, let’s go ov-” Andrea cut me off.
“You have to go to the front desk and say the spell, or you can’t check out books.” she explained. I nodded and went to the front desk, “look up from your book for we wish to get our own.” I uttered the spell, making the plus sign.
Ms. Salem looked up, “Ah, welcome back Concord.” she greeted.
“Hi, Ms. Salam. How are you?” I questioned politely.
“Well I’m great, I’m glad you’re feeling better.” she smiled. It was one of those old lady warm smiles.
“Thank you, I’m going to the restricted section. Is that okay?” I requested.
“Of course, you just have to prove that you’re an elemental witch. Take Andrea with you, just in case. I have no idea what’s back there.” she ordered.
“Ok, got it. Let’s go.” I said. I thought of the familiar-object transformation, and it showed, ‘restricted, L-6-s-5’
“When I tried to learn about this thing, I was always confused by the shelf number. I mean it doesn’t make any sense, right?” Andrea explained.
“Not really, it makes perfect sense. It’s all the way in the back.” I gave her a confused look.
“You must know that because you’re an elemental witch.” Ms. Salem offered.
“Maybe.” I shrugged.
We walked to that area, “Oh yeah by the way, your eyes are back to normal.” Andrea observed.
“Really? That’s odd.” I mumbled. We went to the shelves, there was a great big gate. The shelves behind it were pitch black, there were lanterns hanging from the roof, but they weren’t on. The gate had a palm reading thing, and large valves that you put something in. “I’m thinking that I need more control over my power or something, right?”
“Yeah, definitely. Let’s go back to detention.” Andrea offered.
“Okay.” I accepted. I grabbed her arm and teleported us back to the room, as soon as we were there I let go of her arm. I tripped forward slightly, but was caught.
“Careful, I told you not to do that kind of thing.” she lectured.
“I’m fine.” I hit her hand off, and stood up.
She yanked on my wrist, pulling me towards her so that she could look into my eyes, “Careful.” she said in a low and stern tone.
“O-Okay. I can d-do that.” I conceded.
“Good.” she nodded, and gently jabbed her tongue into my mouth. She pushed me into a desk, resting her hands at my waist. She then pulled back, I collapsed into her shoulder.
That felt way too good. I thought to myself. Okay, let’s just take a sec here. I gripped her shirt, as she nibbled on my ear. “Stop now, please.”
She pulled away, ruffled my hair, “You okay?” she questioned with a smile.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” I nodded, looking down.
“Sorry, did I scare you?”
“No, it’s cool.” I raised onto my tiptoes, and patted my head seeing as her face was very worrisome.
“You’re short.” she teased.
I flipped her off, “Fuck off Andrea.” I laughed.
The next few weeks went by normally, they were fun. There were a few times where my powers wet haywire, but for the most part it was fine. Then something new happened.
