1…5…12…29…45 Murders. Never been caught and always escaped before the police showed up. Sabre was right, if Aleksander followed the instructions Sabre specifically put for him, Alek would never be caught. Alek felt sad. He was taking innocent lives, even from kids, Sabre was sadistic. He would sometimes take these bodies from their graves and dissect them just to feel what a dead body feels like. All the while Alek just kept following his every order.
Sabre turned to Aleksander. “C’mere.” Aleksander walked to him sheepishly frowning lowly while Sabre put a hand on his cheek and then put Alek’s hair into a bun. Sabre leaned down next to his ear. “I know you’re planning to run away with Nick. If you do I’ll just chase you and take everything you ever loved away from you.” He whispered. Alek felt his whole world fall and shatter as he held back his tears. “I’ll be merciful though, you better pack and leave with Nick in the next hour or else I’ll kill the both of you.”
Aleksander broke away from Sabre’s touch and ran to Nick’s room shutting the door. “Pack now! Sabre knows about us, if we don’t leave in the next hour he’ll kill us both!” Alek said as tears fell down his cheeks. Nick got up and went to Alek putting his hands on Alek’s cheek and wiping his tears. “Go and pack your things quickly so we can leave Alek, we’ll get away and be safe from him soon.” He said softly, Alek whimpered. “B-But.. I don’t want to leave Sabre…I still love him a little bit..” “But if we stay he’ll kill us. We have to go.”
Alek and Nick left the house soon afterwards, Sabre watched them from the window. Aleksander turned to look back at the house, a frown on his face before he turned away and kept walking. Sabre turned away from the window once they were no longer in sight anymore. He looked at pictures on his walls, him and Alek…happy together. He growled and grabbed it throwing it to the ground. The wooden frame crackled into pieces while the glass shattered into hundreds of small sharp pieces.
Sabre’s personality may have changed but the man still had emotions. He was heartbroken, confused, tired, and mentally damaged. “I guess everyone I love just leaves eventually…” He muttered to himself and looked back at one photo of him and Aleksander he had on his desk. He grabbed it and stared at it. “You were the only person who understood me…I’ll never forget you.. For better or for worse,” he said with a cracked voice.
He went around the house, taking anything that was Aleksander’s or had a resemblance to him and then took it to the incinerator downstairs and burned everything. He looked down at his desk in his office, the papers of instructions and the whiteboards of people, times, and places. He grabbed the eraser and erased some things but stopped almost immediately and then walked out the room shutting the door.
For the rest of the week, he would spend every minute removing everything of Alek’s and Nick’s so he would never have to remember what happened when he looked at something. It was already engraved in his head, he didn’t need it to be in things he looked at as well. He sighed in relief, his home was “Free” from the resemblance that was already plaguing his mind. It gave him some amount of relief. But, the damage had already been done.
He had snapped, at his breaking point. If he couldn’t get Alek to do the murders. He’d do them himself. He’ll kill everyone in his path, everyone who interferes. Until he felt complete. Though, he knew murder wouldn’t make him whole… it would distract him from trying to find out what it was.
