It was after she came to the academy. On the day where new students were called for an orientation, there she is. She’s newly transferred and thus she only has paper money and a few spirit gems. She hadn’t enough to buy a uniform. And no one’s kind enough to loan her some clothes. There she is wearing the clothes she did when her parents have died as a result of her power awakening. And every step of the way, she is reminded of her doings.
I was familiar with this. But I still wasn’t in the academy then. She told me how hard she felt when socializing with others. And whenever someone mentions her family she readily changes the topic to avoid mentioning anything about her absurd past.
It was barely midnight when I stopped wandering in the midst of her memories. It was about time to solve the puzzle and as I was searching for the sacred flower that turns red whenever the tulips were blue, I remembered the instant our hands once touched when we were about to pick the same flower then.
Her hands have been soft. Oh how he couldn’t wait to feel it again but something tells him that he wouldn’t be in this garden a second time. And he has lost the change of being comforted by her existence. As Arnel further strengthened his resolve to finish the puzzle and catch up with her, he heard footsteps approaching him from behind. And as he turned, almost wishing it was her, he was then again face to face with an unwelcome presence. At the garden, where everything is blue save from that one sacred flower, he saw her clutching a red distinctive flower by her hands.
Nobody knows why he kept running into Ivy when his mind is set on pursuing Fey. They are also fated but their fate wouldn’t last.
