My mother’s funeral was on June 10 at 8:56 a.m. It was her birthday in fact. We all stayed for hours and hours. We invited our whole family and all of our friends. She would have wanted it this way. On the way from the funeral, I had thought about what my life is going to be like now. It was about 3:58 p.m. when we did leave. My mom was gone and I was gone as well. In the car I was in my own row. The back row in fact. My dad was in front with the driver, my brothers in the row in front of me, and the twins were behind dad. This was a long and silent car ride. Then I heard it. When I heard him, he shouted, “Car!” I looked to my right and boom. We were hit by a speeding car. Well, I was hit. Hard. My row was knocked off of the rest of the car.

My ears were ringing and my arm was hurting badly. I couldn’t see anything. Everything went black. Then I heard the voice again. “Oh no… Oh no no no!” they said. I started to cough and opened my eyes. The part of the car I was trapped in was on it’s side. I was in the left seat. The right side had combusted. I saw my brother Axton reaching towards me. Axel and his seat were in front of me. Pure luck they didn’t go with the back, I guess. Thankfully, they forgot to buckle up, I guess. He grabbed my shirt and pulled me out. Dad was next to Axton and Axel was holding the twins, Alex and Alexa, in the back.

“Ash, are you okay?” my dad said. I could barely hear him but I nodded my head slowly. “His arm,” Axel gasped. Dad looked down and gagged. I couldn’t look at my arm. I couldn’t look to see what my dad had seen if it made him gag. My vision went weird. It was glitching still, just like when I woke up. “Call for help again! That bastard fucked up Ash! His arm is a bloody mess!” my dad said. “There, I glitched the system for you to be alive. Don’t die on us again kid. Glitching the system is not what I should be doing,” I heard the voice say. I started to cough again and my vision went black. “Fuck, fuck, fuck. Ash, please…stay awake please… I can’t lose you, too,” he said. I blacked out due to loss of blood.

I swear I don't mean to spam. I just have a hyperfixation on this book. I am many chapters ahead of schedule and I had the dream of the second book. I'll try to stay focus on this book and not to procrastinate again.

Being perceived as normal should have been good, right? Even though Ash would never be normal, he lived what was viewed as an average life. He was the really smart and attractive triplet. Everyone loved Ash. His life was pretty much perfect to everyone. Who would be perfect with the famous, billionaire playboy, his beautiful wife, and two extremely talented brothers as their family. The truth of him and his family would soon be spilled out to the public once his mother died after giving birth. His father, Malcolm, was always drunk and out late at night which left the triplets with the twins, Alex and Alexa. One day, Malcolm came home sober and with someone. Someone Ash was in school with. Now with her dating his only living parent, he has to listen to her like she is his parent. Maybe the power got to her head.

Ash isn’t a normal 18-year-old boy. He has what people would call an alter ego. Two different souls in the same body with the same problems. Glitching out.
