It was Bridget's first night after the break up. She and him had been together for a year and on their anniversary she caught him cheating. She was heartbroken, she loved him but he didn't love her. There was nothing she could do, he would go around showing his new girl off like a trophy but Bridget never knew. He had betrayed her and knew that he wouldn't feel sorry. Bridget went and sat down on her bed. She began to cry and fell asleep. The next morning she went to her classes like nothing happened but she didn't hide it very well. Her long, red hair was messy and stuck out at different angles, her face was pale from crying which stuck out due to her bright green eyes. Nothing her friends said or did could make her feel better. She left school and went to her house in the rain. She didn't have an umbrella and was getting soaked. Suddenly she was dry, she looked up and saw her classmate James holding an umbrella over her. He was blushing a deep red and was looking in the opposite direction of Bridget. She smiled at him and laughed quietly. He looked at her and  for a split second their eyes met. They both looked away blushing. They started walking towards Bridget's house. "You didn't look like yourself today." James said. Bridget smiled awkwardly and said "yeah, I'd rather not say though." James looked at her, " I understand just know you can come to me if you ever need someone to listen." Bridget blushed and she could tell he was being truly sincere. He turned and started walking to his house. "Wait, James!" Bridget called. James turned and looked at her with a small smile. "Would you like to come in?" She said. James chuckled and said with a sly smile. "Miss me already?" Bridget blushed, looking a little put out and said. "Well if it's an inconvenience for you." "Alright princess I'll stay but only for a bit." James said.
