When the girl sees me, she seems scared at first, though it doesn't last long. The fright melts into a look of scrutinizing wonder, and I feel as if her bright green eyes are absorbing me, disecting my very being, observing my every molecule. It feels weird. In this setting, with the complete whiteness, it feels like I'm being experimented on. I don't like it. I should probably say something.
"Hi."
I cringe inwardly at the sound of my voice. It's so high-pitched and weak. I decide to try again, since the other girl hasn't said anything.
"Um, do you know where we are? I- I'm Alari."
For some seconds, the girl doesn't do anything. Then she seems to shake off a reverie and look up me. Then she starts to get up. Her movements are uncoordinated, yet smooth. The way she moves is unnatural. It's like every muscle in her body is being moved by a different person, each one of which doesn't really know what they're doing, so they're looking at their neighbour to copy of them. Her voice brings me out of my thoughts, into the white.
