I get why Mal is upset. I get why Amelie is upset. I'm not sure why everyone seems to hate Mal, as I personally would be hurt if my BFF constantly dismissed and insulted my favorite singer. And Amelie of course doesn't have to share what she finds painful. But like... it's all way more complex than how everyone seems to view it.
