“So do you always become taller when you’re pissed or?” 

An unknown voice says behind you. As you turn around you see that it’s Zenon. 

“What are you going on about?” 

He motions you toward his phone and he shows you the video of you scaring the crap out of everyone 

“Damn, I look like a badass” Zenon chuckled 

“Yeah, you do” Zenon affirmed. “So…do you?”

“Um yeah, I do when my wolf completely takes over if Rebecca didn’t submit she would’ve hurt her beyond compare. That is the main reason I lived in the woods…But now I have a pack again so I guess she- I mean we need to get used to people a bit more. Well. I’m exhausted, I'm turning in good night dumbass”. 

Zenon laughed and just nodded and Maria went up the stairs in her and Nick’s room. 

“Nick is still isn't home yet since he was pissed at Rebecca. I wonder what he is doing right now. I kinda miss him.” 

Maria mumbled to herself getting into bed. She slept for a few hours but woke up as she heard the door open and shut. And the other side of the bed dipped as Nick was climbing inside. It just hit Maria that this is the first time that she has ever slept in the same bed with a guy in years and she became nervous. 

When she didn’t hear any movement she opened her eyes to see Nick staring straight at her with so much admiration that Maria couldn’t help but touch his face. 

“Why are you looking at me like that?” she asked while reaching for his face and caressing his cheek. 

“You’re so unique and fascinating” his cheek starting to be a slight shade of pink while melting into her touch

Maria decided to take the liberty of closing the space between them and put her head on his chest 

“I get the unique part since I’m rare and everything but I’m really not all that” Maria said hoping that Nick wouldn’t be too disappointed. But, instead she felt Nick's hand lift up her head and looked at her. 

“Would you quit putting yourself down. You are amazing Maria!” 

Maria chuckled at her response and said “If you're referring to the video in the square then you have yet to see anything my love. Now get some sleep we have one hell of a day ahead of us tomorrow”-
