I tucked Myles into his bed so he will stay warm and leave through his balcony door, I return to my room, and I wrap myself in the blankets to keep warm and fall asleep easier than other nights. The rest of the week was the same as the last, Myles and I ate lunch and dinner together and I skip breakfast, so I don't have to sit with Grace. I had been looking forward to the weekend all week, the school was hosting a movie night on Saturday, Myles and I planned to go together.

Saturday afternoon was busy with people collecting pillows and blankets from their rooms and taking them to the hall. Students dressed in matching pyjamas, sweats, and a hoodie, and some just wrapped in blankets. The hall was light dimly and students fill from the top of the hall to the back, so it is easier to see the projection. It was a whole school vote, and it came down to 3 movies; pirates of the Caribbean: the black pearl, Step up, and the Amazing spiderman. 

Myles and I walk into the hall with our blankets wrapped around us and pillows in hand. We walk right to the back corner where it was really dark when the lights were dim, invisible with no light. The first movie is set to start in less than 5 minutes, the last few students are getting comfortable, ready when the lights turn off and the movie starts. I wrap myself in my blanket and shift my hand out to hold Myles's. I find his hand and he send me a horrified look.

"Not here, what if you get caught? people are watching us as it is." Myles whispers to me and scans the area where a few groups of students stare and whisper. I ignore his warning and wrap my fingers through his. He continued to carry a nervous expression, but his eyes soften when I return him a smile.

"I chose to sit here for a reason, it's practically impossible to see us, besides our hands are under a blanket. They'll never know for certain." I lean in and whisper into his ear so people around us can't hear no matter how close or far away they are. I wait for people to stop looking around at us and I lower my head onto Myles shoulder, he flinched and squeezed my hand. He's obviously nervous but I promised I would protect him from everyone who wanted to make his life harder than it should be.

The first two movies finished, and I was cuddled up against Myles now, ignoring the few people who turn to look at us. I snuggle into the side of his chest with his arm tucked around my back and holding my waist. I feel butterflies in my stomach, Myles is warm, and his touch is soft, he was so focused on the movie, I stare at his beautiful side profile. His eyes glued to the screen and the light reflecting off his round glasses, his hair falling over the side of the lenses making him even more adorable. He slowly moved his head to look at me and he smiled a cute, mischievous smile.

“I really wanna watch the second movie to this now, its really interesting.” He whispered at me with most of his concentration still on the screen.

“I’ve downloaded it on my laptop if you wanna come over and watch it, after we head back maybe?” I offer him with a wide smile praying He’ll say yes, mainly so I can spend more time with him. He gives be a grin and nods his head, we both turn our attention back to the movie.

The movie finishes, and it’s late, so some students chose to sleep in the hall. Myles and I get up and start to head back to the dorms. There was no one else on our floor who came back so I race Myles along the hallway and back to our doors. I lean over to Myles and whisper to him.

“My room in 5?” I didn’t plan on staying up later after the movies, but I want to watch the next spiderman movie with Myles before the night was over. He gives a single nod, and we unlock our doors and enter to our rooms. I run around picking up any excess rubbish on the floor and change into my actual pyjamas, sweatpants, oversized hoodie, and a pair of patterned socks. In no time I heard a knock at my balcony door and saw Myles peek in through the gap I left in the curtains.

“It’s unlocked.” I say as he slides the door open and proceeds to sit in his favourite spot on my bed, he grabs his favourite blanket and cocoons himself in it. By the time I have the movie set up he is rugged up and ready to watch it. I sit my laptop on the end of my bed and wrap up in a blanket next to Myles. Without any hesitation I wrap my arms around his torso and rest my head against his chest like I did in the hall, he didn’t hesitate to do the same. No shitty, judgemental people are watching us this time. Just us again, how we both like it. I press play on the movie and Myles sits the top of his head on top mine and I can feel him ever so lightly kiss the top of my head. It caught me off guard, Butterflies grew in my stomach.

I could hear his heartbeat through his shirt, it sped up. He did.
