Brian would say as he went to pick up the pokeball. He was happy to have a new addition to his team; he turned to look at his Rowlet, who was still perched on his shoulder from the start.
“Only been an hour or two and I’m already making progress.”
Rowlet let out a soft coo.
Brian then released his Rockruff from the pokeball, who let out a soft bark at him.
“Hmm..I think I’ll name you..Aiden. It sounds cool.”
He’d then turn to see a clumsy beige wolf, and a golden furred bunny who accompanied him, approach him. They were two of his friends.
“H-Hey! Brian!”
The wolf exclaimed, while also sounding pretty out of breath at the same time.
Brian’s eyes would turn to stars, as he instantly recognized them.
“Oh my gosh, hi Tyler! Sam!”
The bunny laughed and patted Tyler’s back.
“Your Mom wanted Tyler and I wanted to catch up with you. Though..Ty exerted himself a bit too much..haha.”
Tyler looked at Sam.
“Y-Yeah..just a bit too much. Oooh..god…I need water. I feel so tired out already.”
She reached into her bag and threw him a water bottle.
“You are SO lucky I packed a few of these.”
She threw one to Brian as well; he fumbled it a little bit but caught it in his hands.
“T-Thanks!”
Tyler took a couple sips, before sending out his partner, Litten.
“OKAY. SO. You sir, now that we have our pokemon, we should definitely have a practice run battle.”
“O-Oh, uh, yes, OF course.”
Brian sent out his Rowlet.
Tyler brushed off his clothing.
“Alright! Felix, use Scratch!”
Brian gasped a little as his Rowlet tumbled backwards.
“Ah jeez! Okay, Robin, use Leafage!”
Tyler watched as his Litten got pelted repeatedly.
“Huh. Ight, bet. Use Ember!!”
Robin dodged the attack and followed Brian’s command to use another Leafage. It wasn’t too effective but it was enough to cause Tyler’s Litten to collapse.
“Litten is unable to battle. Rowlet is the winner!”
Sammy would say in a proud announcer tone.
“Heh heh, I’ve always wanted to do that.”
Tyler crouched over and sent his Litten back to his pokeball.
“Thanks Felix. Rest for a bit, okay?”
He then got up and softly punched Brian on the shoulder.
“Not too shabby, bud. Somehow I knew you were going to prevail from the start.”
Brian softly laughed in response.
“Nah. I just got a little lucky, that’s all. Now c’mon, let’s get us through the rest of this forest, train a little, and head over to the nearest city.”
A Rewritten Version of a Pokemon story I had once done in High School!
*This is a very limited series.
Featuring our Caribbean Escapades stars, Brian, Tyler, and Sammy, they venture throughout the Furui Region and do what any 13 year old kid would do; Explore, meet new friends, defeat the Gym Leaders and become Champion. Just your average Pokemon journey would be.
