Detail Engineered Modem Oriented Night Stalkers, or Demons for short, had crept into the mainframes of computers right with the first set up. There, they bided their time, increasing their influence and growing in numbers. When the World Wide Web came into being, they rejoiced.
The slowest of them, and the most idiotic, were the first of the computer viruses. They were destroyed by the thousands, but hundreds of thousands more still remained. The mid-level demons learned some from the mistakes of the first ones, and were slightly harder to take care of, but still computer programmers took them out too. Then there were the Trojans, and the Hacker Worms, and so on until today. Today, they were pretty much omnipotent, but as long as you stayed out of their way and didn’t interfere with their plans; you could game and do whatever you wanted on your computers.
