Through fine manipulation of the files that everybody from the lowliest clerk to the president had on computers, Demons ruled the world. I would not have been surprised if they had come up with the idea of that war in order to keep our sharpest men from figuring out that we had become no more than slaves. Demons used us to spawn, to create, and to feed on the miasma of life.

If you did interfere with their purpose, you were a lost cause. It all started innocently enough when I warned my online friends via a chain letter about the Lucifer virus. It was a real virus, considering I’d made it myself. I'd created it after a really nasty day at the office, and I had wanted to do something to literally master everything that had contributed to the bad day. Data Entry being my job, it seemed that the computers controlled all of that. I really wanted to get back at the computers, and the society that made them.
