The net result was that e-mail, and just by opening it you were infected with my virus. It was a nice piece of work, if I may say so myself. It began its “life” as an innocuous little thing that was a little like a Trojan. The computer would even identify the “Trojan”, and then of course the virus protector on a computer would kick in.
It wasn’t entirely a Trojan as I’ve said before. It would use the virus program to spawn copies of itself, and those copies would be identified as Trojans, and the cycle would begin again. While the antivirus program was busy fighting that, the embedded worm would start eating through certain files. The computer would start flickering, then the screensavers would jump from screensaver to screensaver, the programs would slow a little, and then two days later everything would seem fine. Then, the computer would shut down, and have permanent little errors after it was restarted.
