(Erris POV)

I see Maxi fall asleep and I practically wanna scream. I was so close, I was on his fucking lap! I touched him! AND HE LIKED IT! But then of course I had to ruin everything by saying I only did all of that to convince Jordan we were dating when in reality, I heard Jordan and Maxi’s little fucking deal! I groan and pace around until about midnight, then make my way into the bed and hold Maxi close. I kiss his head and whisper into his hair.

“You think you are the worst mage in the world when in actuality, you cast a spell on me, making me love you” I sigh and then heave myself up, deciding to take a shower and then do some reading. Basically, pull an all-nighter. I undress from Maxi’s clothes and take one last sniff of his naturally delicious odor. I step in the shower and begin scrubbing my body and then hair because personal hygiene is a must. I hum along to a song in my head and eventually get out, drying off, and getting dressed. I then grab my book and sit on the couch and make a goal to read for two hours and then be done. After a couple of hours, a lot of reading done, and Maxi leaving for his class, I make my way to his bed and flop onto it, grabbing his pillow and bringing it close to me before I pass out. I wake up about thirty minutes before the sweet little Maxi is going to arrive back home. There is a knock on my door and before I can even reply, Jordan walks in, practically naked except for boxers, and sits on the edge of my bed, obviously peeved.

“What now Jordan?” I groan as I rub the never-ending sleep from my half-open eyes.

“Well I would just like to discuss our favorite little wizard boy” He smiles a wicked grin that makes me sick. This is why I chose to claim Maxi as mine (even if I really did lov- LIKE…I meant like him). I need to protect him from the monster that will soon erupt from Jordan.

“Go ahead, but you know he is my boyfriend” I snarl back and glare at his ever-recurring fiery gaze. He rolls his eyes and scoffs.

“Oh sweet and innocent Erris, don’t bullshit me, it’s quite obvious that this is all a hoax and that is why I have come to tell you that I plan on pursuing him, and he agreed” With that, he smiles at me like all of his plans have fallen in place. I can’t help but drop my intimidating glare for a second and register the hurt, the feeling of your heart being poked and prodded by a dagger. He catches my emotion and a glint passes through his eyes. Oh my sweet Maxi, why was I so arrogant before? Why did I refuse to acknowledge that I desired you, needed you.I shake my head and stand up.

“So? What does this have to do with me?” I snap, going back to my snarky persona. 

“You shall not keep him from me, Erris Pernan. I will make him mine. It shouldn’t be a problem as seen as you don’t desire him like I do.” 

“Oh don't be insane Jordan, he gets to choose who he wants” I state, secretly wishing that it is I who he wants, desires, needs. He just rolls his eyes and smiles.

“Okay, whatever you say” He walks out and sits on the kitchen counter. He slides open the window and lights a cigarette. He takes a few puffs before the door swings open and here comes Maxi, jumping into Jordan's arms.

“Is Erris home?” He says and Jordan sends a death glare my way, telling me to go. I quickly cast an invisibility spell before Maxi casts a glance to my room. 

“Nope, he should be back in twenty minutes” He smiles at Maxi and after taking a drag of his cigarette he kisses him. I sit there horrified as I watch him squeeze Maxi’s ass and as Maxi traces his hand up and down the prominent bulge in Jordan's boxers. I rush to the bathroom and throw up, not able to handle Jordan kissing MY fake boyfriend, MY real love. I wash my face off and brush my teeth, trying not to think of all the disgust and hatred I just felt for Jordan. Still invisible, I slip out of the house while Maxi and Jordan are attacking each other's lips. The door clicks shut and I run to my car and hop in, trying to hold back the tears while I go buy a fat ass carton of ice cream and a cup of coffee.
