“Yeah, Like I said I already have you inside the system you're now officially working at burger prince. You were hired a week ago and your starting day is today, go inside and get into uniform” Rose gave me my background story about my job.
“Hold on, did you make me take the place of someone else?” I Asked as I Walked into the back door and went into the break room to see if they had any uniforms in my size.
“Yeah how else was i going to get you in without getting selected, i made it to where they think they have to go in tomorrow so they don’t come in and blow your cover.”
“Rose, you are a miracle worker.” I finally found a uniform in my size and quickly changed into it. “That's just how hackers work, now you go to work, call me again when you finish so i can put everything back to normal.” Also get me some food as well, I'm out of money right now and the FBI is starting to get suspicious of the money disappearing from the bank.” I heard her typing on the computer again.
“Alright will do, talk ya then.” I hung up the phone and put the wacky burger prince hat on. “Well, guess I should go out there. I opened the door and walked out to the counter. I left my bag in the break room so I can fill it up during the time I'm “working”. I walked over to the food area and held that over my face then grabbed a bag and started puting some random sandwiches inside.
In the middle of me making this fake order someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around and saw a tall man with a surprisingly bright orange mohawk, and the shaved part was a dark orange. He was a bit tanned and had light pink eyes.
“Um, do you need something sir?” His height was a bit intimidating since he was a whole foot taller than me. “I don’t remember seeing your face around here, what's your name?” the guy who I assume is the manager was getting suspicious of me.
“Uneme, Uneme otanome.” oh god this is heart pounding he came out of nowhere. “Hmm, wait a minute.” He pulled out his phone and pulled up a list of people who work here at burgerprince. As I was sweating bullets I thought of multiple plans in my head just in case I wasn't on this guy's employee list. He kept scrolling and scrolling on making me all the more nervous, just how many people work here dude?!
“Nope, i don’t see you, oh wait never mind here you are.” I sighed with relief, thank god for hackers. “Oh it seems today is your first day of work. It makes all the more sense why I didn't recognize you, well okay keep up the good work.” He patted me on my shoulder and walked off.
“Yes sir!” After he was out of my sight, I once again sighed. After my heart stopped beating out of my chest I continued to work on the fake order I was doing. A few minutes later I filled up six bags full of ten biscuit chicken sandwiches each. “This should be good enough for both breakfast and lunch.
I looked around me and made sure no one was watching me, especially the manager, I then packed up all the bags and scurried over to the employee break room that was housing my black book bag. It’s a good thing that it’s so early in the morning, not many employees are here, only about three other than me are on shift.
I found my bag that was in the corner and put all the bags inside my bookbag. Right before i got done doing so someone else walked into the break room
“CRAP! I got caught, what should I do?” As I thought this I stood up and looked at who walked in. It was a girl with blond hair, and light blue eyes. As we stood there looking at each other with a blank stare, she closed the door behind her and pulled her arm from behind her back.
In her hand was a bag that I assume was full of the burger princes sandwiches as well. She walked over to me and whispered in my ear. “Don’t worry, I won't tell.” she then smiled at me and walked over to her purse and put the small bag inside of it.
I guess she steals from her job. How lucky am I. I smiled back and began to change out of the uniform I was wearing. I hung the shirt up and placed the hat on the table. I put my gray hoodie back on and picked up my book bag. “Later, my shift has just about ended.” I waved her goodbye and walked out the room.
I quietly walked down the short hallway leading to the back door, when I got to the door I felt someone grab my shoulder once again. I turned to see the manager standing behind me. “Uh, i’m off shift?” I tried to come up with an excuse even though I knew it wouldn’t work. “Uh huh even though you were only here for about sixteen minutes? Yeah I don't think so.” he glared at me and all I did was laugh it off.
“So, how long have you known?” I turned all the way around and asked him if he knew the whole time. “Well, you surely make a big impression. You have orange hair and golden eyes. I think i would have remembered interviewing you for a job here.” he crossed his arms in disappointment since i didn’t realize this.
“So, you gonna call the cops on me?” I looked down to the ground, I really hope he dosen’t call the cops. I don't need a criminal record along with being homeless. “Don’t worry it looks like you need those sandwiches more than the people who are going to buy them. I’ll let you off with a warning. Now get out of here.” he patted me on my head even though i’m an adult already.
“Um, uh…” I tried to say thank you but I don’t really like being mushy like that. “Yeah no problem now hurry on out.” I nodded my head yes and rushed out the door. “Besides, if I called the cops on you It would make my mission harder than it needs to be.” The manager said this after I left the building.
