It is within close proximity now. Close enough for you to see a glimpse of them. Their face was covered in defects(scars, slits, bruising.) It had long pitch black horns piercing from the top of its head. It was absolutely horrid to look at. The eyes were as if that’s where nightmares would manifest. The worst part is, you could swear that those putrid, demonic and devilish eyes had taken a glance at you.
You contemplate on whether or not to take a stand and fend for yourself, but you cower at the thought. You decide it would be for the best if you slowly make a run for it. Who knows? You might go against all odds and survive. Your possibly final contemplation has concluded, you are going to sneak around the trees until you prevail and reach your destination, home.
You tilt your head slightly, checking if the predator was still distinguishable in the darkness of the sky. The moon wasn’t glimmering as brightly as before, the clouds were now creating a shield from the light. You can’t tell whether it was a greater help than a hindrance. You can’t help but sigh. This was to be your fatal mistake.
You, a young adult, have stumbled into a forest. Something otherworldly is behind you, preying on you deep into the night. Will you manage to escape, or will you die trying?
