-3rd person POV-
In the golden cave, the others stand there, watching as the battle is taken to the skies. Michiko stares in wonder, trying to figure out how the two boys grew wings. Her memory doesn’t have anything about a costume with wings, and she is only confused further. “Hey, guys, what is that?” Murro asks nervously, pointing up towards what appears to be a white beam of energy coming down. “I don't know, but we should probably dodge it!” Joseph yelps, and jumps backward as the beam hits the floor. It reflected off the stone and hit Emily, but she gave no reaction. “H-huh?! Aah!” she screamed as the white light brought her up towards the boys. “Emily! Helena shouts, and tries to grab her ankle. But she was too slow and Emily was whisked away. “Let’s just hope she’s alright…”
Up above the clouds, Lucky watches in confusion as Emily appears, a small pair of white wings on her back. “W-what’s happening?!” she questioned, looking around. Aesop stared back blankly, and said, “You must bring the black soul away.” Confused, Emily tries to ask him what he means, but suddenly, her body glows and she changes. Lucky covered his eyes, blinded, but when the light died down, Emily was transformed into Holy Angel, with a halo and wings along with her now white hair. “H-huh?!” Emily looked at herself in confusion. “Emily, right now you are Holy Angel, and you have a fraction of my power. With it, I want you to send Lucky’s soul to Hades and confine him. To put it simply, punish him,” Aesop explained, then gave her a pat on the back.
“Wait, how am I supposed to do that?!” Emily asked, slowly panicking. “All you have to do is touch him. That should send his soul on a journey down below the earth.” Aesop floated backward a bit, then crossed his arms and looked at Emily expectantly, as if she should know what to do. Since all she had to do was touch him, Emily figured this would be easy enough. She dashed forward and stretched out her hand, but Lucky dodged it immediately. ‘Maybe this won’t be as easy as I thought,’ Emily thought.
Down below, the others watched (and Helena listened) to the battle above. It had been going on for quite some time, and Yidhra was starting to get tired. “What are they even doing up there?” Joseph muttered, straining to see better. Michiko, with her better eyesight, said, “I think Emily is playing tag with Lucky.” Murro lied on the floor, looking up at the trio as if he was stargazing. Michiko started to get restless from waiting for so long and decided to check up on things. “Wait here, I’ll be back soon,” she said, and with a small hop, she had used Soul Depart and was on her way to the battle.
Emily was still flying around desperately trying to catch Lucky, who was using his big wings to his advantage and dodging her moves. Aesop floated by uselessly, watching the little game of tag. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed something moving fast. He looked down and saw… Michiko? Head tilted in confusion, he heard Emily suddenly shout, “Look out!” Aesop quickly turned and saw Lucky about to ram him, and Aesop flew up and flipped through the air, barely missing the attack.
“H-huh?!” Michiko wondered in confusion. She saw everyone having wings, Emily with white hair, and an angry Lucky (not that it was that surprising). Lucky grinned, though there was no joy in his eyes at all. “You think you can really beat me? Little Miss Doctor is too slow to catch me, and you are too weak to become Exorcist! Face it, you’ll never win!” he yelled, seemingly proud of himself, though Michiko wouldn’t know why. Aesop was silent, staring at Lucky. He took that as a sign of surrender and flashed a wide smile, full of evil.
That’s when Aesop looked up at him and smiled back, a small, almost genuine smile. “Huh? Aesop?” Emily asked, confused why he was smiling after all of Lucky’s talk about doom and gloom. “You’re right. I can’t win. Might as well give up. I’d be able to see Eli then anyways,” Aesop said, his hands holding each other behind his back. Aesop’s wings brought him closer to Lucky. “What are you doing?! You can’t give up!” Michiko yelled, fighting tears. Aesop turned his head and looked at her, giving a sad smile to her. “Tell the others I said goodbye.”
Aesop turned back to Lucky, holding out his hand. “NO!!” Michiko yelled. Lucky grinned. “Smart boy.” He shook his hand, and a small wave of light magic flew. “W-what?” Lucky was shocked and confused. He was shaking Emily’s hand, and Aesop was floating where Emily was. Emily smiled, then said, “To h*ll with you.” And with a wave of her hand, Lucky crumbled to dust, leaving behind a black orb of energy. Emily touched it lightly, and it disappeared in a flash.
“H-how did- wha- I-” Michiko stuttered, attempting to ask for answers. “It’s over,” Aesop said, facing her. “It’s… finally… over…” Aesop’s eyelids grew weak, and his wings disappeared, causing him to fall. “Aesop!” Michiko threw a butterfly and Shadow Dashed, quickly catching him. She sighed in relief to find that he was alright, only asleep. Emily floated over, patting his head. “Poor Aesop. Even though he was out of energy, he did whatever he could to scrape together enough magic to switch our places last second.” Michiko and Emily shared a look, before deciding that it was time to go back down.
