11:34?! I need to meet Catelyn! Sora thought, jumping out of her bed and running straight to her shoes. She quickly puts them on, then runs over to a sticky note, writes where she is going and why, then races out the door, placing that note on the door.
Instead of running the whole way, she hopped on her bike.
Halfway, Sora is standing up on the bike, feeling the fifteen-mile-per-hour wind on her face.
Sora sits back down. Once she sat down, she peddled faster. She was able to get a view of the park. Sora tried to look closely to see if Catelyn was there. Sora instantly saw her chasing some kids.
Sora hopped off her moving bike then parked it next to a tree. She then ran over to Catelyn and greeted her.
"Hey, sorry I'm late again," Sora said, waving to Catelyn.
"It's all right. These pests kept me occupied," Catelyn replied, shoving one of the kids.
"Aren't those your siblings?" Sora asked, walking closer.
"You mean Devils?! They won't stop bothering me!"
"Well, I'm an only child, so I don't know what to do." Sora continued, "Unless you want to trade?"
"I want to, but my parents won't let me," Catelyn said, walking over to the bench then sitting down.
Sora walked over to the bench and sat next to her, "So what's your siblings' names?"
"The girl is the youngest, Olivia. She gets whatever she wants. It doesn't matter if it's expensive; she just gets it." Catelyn continued, "And the boy, William, middle. He gets ignored by my mom, but not my dad."
"hm... Anyways, continuing off of yesterday, about the mile-" Sora said before getting interrupted.
"I don't have to do that."
"...What?"
"Right, I forgot to tell you." Catelyn turned to Sora and continued, "Friday, I was out on the track, and the P.E. teachers came out and saw me run a full mile around the track in five minutes straight."
"Five minutes!-" Sora said before William ran over to Catelyn and screamed.
He jumps up on the bench then screams louder. Catelyn and Sora spring off of the bench. Catelyn then picks up William and sets him off the bench. She sits back down on the bench while Sora turns around, thinking how Catelyn ran a mile in five minutes.
By the sounds of it, William jumped back up on the bench. A light hit Soras' back, causing her to turn around.
William disappeared. The only thing in his place was an exotic parrot.
The wings were blueish-greenish while its belly was brilliant red.
The parrot turned around and looked directly at Sora. A bright, yellow light circled it; the parrot was gone while William stood there, looking back at Sora in the exact position as the parrot. He smiled, then giggled a little before hopping off of the bench and running away.
"Finally, I thought he would never leave-" Catelyn said, crossing her arms behind her head and getting comfortable before Sora interrupted. "... What the HELL was that?!"
"I know he shouldn't be able to Shift until he is eight, but dad gave him a pet from 'The Great Willow.'"
"...' Shift?!' What is that?!" Sora said, waving her arms.
There is a world where humans can shapeshift into animals, but you must have a pet to shift into an animal. One girl, named Sora, struggles to learn how and why people can Shift into animals. In the process, Sora finds a weeping willow tree where new Shifters come to either find a pet or learn if they can Shift. Instead of Sora finding a pet, she Shifts into a blue jay and gets lost in the forest. Follow Sora while she finds her way home without getting killed.
