His new house was rather bleak compared to his parent's house. No, it was not actually 'rather bleak', it didn't even begin to compare. It was a slight delusion he made to at least make him feel a bit better.

He was now alone. He had no friends, no parents, and not even siblings.

The only piece of entertainment he had left was a cheap laptop which was left here by obligation since the school states that it is necessary to have a laptop ready at all times in the classroom.

He quietly went and sat down in front of his desk which was supposed to be his study table. He stared mindlessly at the laptop in front of him.

『What am I supposed to do? Is it my fault that I did not get any ability? No, right? Then why is everyone abandoning me like I was the one at fault for everything? What even is useful about abilities anyway? All they can do is cast some magic anyway. Speaking of abilities, where do you think these abilities even come from? Is it someone who grants these abilities or is it the result of mutation? If someone does grant it, then is it god? Wait, god.....?』

Akio's mind had come to a halt. He was remembering something about god. But he couldn't exactly tell what it was.

『God, god, god, god, god.....OH! That dream! 』

Akio's hands trembled with excitement. His heartbeat throbbed louder than anything else.

『What did he say again? That I have been...granted...'space' magic?』

It was weird. There did not exist any element corresponding to that name. Was it really just a dream? But it felt too real to be true. Or maybe it felt too real to him because all hope was lost.

He opened up the laptop in a flash. He was about to search it up on the internet when his stopped above the keyboard.

『Will it even be true? What if it felt real only because...?』

Akio found it difficult to shake these thoughts out of his head. He also didn't like the fact that this was him grasping at last straws to survive. It was pathetic to him. He was afraid that if this failed, he won't be able to get out of depression anymore.

『No, what are you thinking, Akio?! This is your life and there is nothing embarrassing in doing anything you can to survive.』

With this resolve in mind, Akio pressed his fingers against the keyboard and typed.

He opened up the website. There were lots of things but none of it seemed to be useful. But suddenly, one line caught his eye.

『'Spatial magic may be used to create a space-time rift in any proportion to the flow of time in real life. That would be a separate world of its own and can be modified in any way you like. In theory, your age would not be affected.'? This seems interesting. Let's try it out.』

Nervousness took hold of him again. He was placing all his hopes on this one action. Of course, he would be. It would be inhuman not to.

He slowly raised his hand and thought of the required instructions.

『 Let's make it a meadow with a single house, where one year in that world is one day here and the sun never sets there.』

With this in mind, he closed his eyes and made a swinging action with his hand like a karate chop.

He slowly opened his eyes.

『Wha-What in the world?』

What he saw cannot be properly explained in words. There was a vertical rupture in space. And that rupture was completely black. The area around it was distorted. What I mean by this, is that the surrounding area had its space twisted up.

『D-D-Did I just.....? No, it can't be. It just can't.....』

Akio couldn't help it. He couldn't stop his tears from flowing. And it was not his fault. He was insulted, bullied, disowned, and whatnot because of his ability. But now, he has a magic that was unique only to him.

『Hahahahaha! Thank you, god. Thank you so much. Thank you so, so, very much.』

Saying this he got up and wiped up his tears. Even if he had awakened his powers, the testing was still going on.

『Whew.....That's enough for now. Let's go inside, shall we?』
