TW: Bullying
Neel
Arggghhh another day at school. School sucks, it literally does. I just want to get out of this hell so that I can have a new start. And I still have a lot of assignments to do and I have no one to ask for help. Being invisible in our own class sucks. It literally does.
While I was working on my Account’s assignment, I hear a group of hooting noises which I directly recognize who they were. Josh, Brad and Devin come in the class with a basket ball in their hand. Is it even allowed to bring the ball from court to class? They are the people who either play or just poke other people. And mostly…
“Hey specs, are you doing your assignment?” Brad says and when I turn my head around, he drops the ball which was in his hand, and put his wrist totally loose. That was his way of calling me f*g without calling me f*g. As a guy guy won’t have their hand so loose.
“Nope.” I answer him.
“Probably his boyfriend did it for him.” Devin now joined the conversation.
Teacher entered the class so the poking ended at that moment. And if you are wondering why I wasn’t playing even though earlier it was PE class? Not because I don’t play, I skipped it to complete my assignments. And this bullying isn’t the first time happening, but I am glad it will end in just another one and half month. I will leave this shitty place and them forever.
“So before going home, all of us are going to have a meeting with the other batch to plan a small celebration among us. The farewell is being organized by your juniors that’s for sure, but this time school thought to take in opinion from you all if you want to have a small celebration of your own. So, I request you all if you don’t have any emergency, please stay for additional half hour.
In just another 10 mins, students from Science and Arts came. The seats which were empty were occupied by some and the rest stood up. As I sit at the last bench, people started to gather behind me.
The meeting started and all of them liked the idea of having two party instead of one.
“So now, who wants to be in charge of decoration?” teacher asks.
“I really think we should make Neel in charge of decoration because you know…” Josh said leaving the sentence mid-air. Some students giggled and I huffed and was about to say something when I heard someone say before me in loud voice,
“I really would like you to complete that sentence.”
When I turned around me head, it was Dharm. Who doesn’t know Dharm.
“You know because he is good at that stuff.” Josh completed that sentence with a forced smile.
Shaking his head in disbelief, Dharm continues,
“If you have the guts, why don’t you complete the sentence which you originally wanted to. Or are you afraid to speak in front of teacher?”
“Are you one of them too?” Now Josh says loudly, and class is now pin drop silenced. No one is saying anything or doing anything.
“Who “them” are you referring to? Can you be specific? Tell me like a five-year-old child.” Dharm says.
Now Josh becomes irritated and was about to speak when teacher shouts,
“Both of you in my office now!”
…
After fifteen minutes they all three come back and neither Dharm nor Josh says anything for the rest of the meeting.
When we all were going down, Josh sprints towards me, standing in front of me. Looks at me and says,
“I didn’t know your boyfriend was Dharm.”
Then he looks up and says,
“You are good in studies and so he is. You are a great pair I have to say.” And then he starts walking away. When I turn around, I see Dharm along with his two friends. I wanted to say something, but what? I don’t know. So, I too continued to walk.
Please these one and half month, pass away quickly. Please.
