Hyaku is on the ground looking stressed and scared, still trying to catch his breath. He picks himself up and realizes that his arm is bleeding but gets over it. He stands tall, looking upward into the sky, controlling his breathing.
“Haaaaaaa….I’m just going to pretend I never saw anything and leave”, he says as he turns around and dashes away from the canyon: Flash of Lightning.
As he runs through the wasteland of TonValleé, he is looking around, staying aware of his surroundings.
“!! What the- Tch, not this again”, he says as he stops and looks 90 degrees to his right and looks angry but also frustrated. “I’m not really going to go, right? Haha…why am I even doing this. I know I’m not going to make it…I know I’m not…Dammit all!”, he says as he flashes through the wasteland.
He flashes through the wasteland and in the distance there lies a portal. There seems to be a person walking out of the portal and they look around. They see a blue light heading their way and Hyaku looks happy to see a person. The person that walked out tries returning to the portal but then a bolt of lightning from the sky comes down and vaporizes them. The portal disappears a few seconds before Hyaku makes it there and he slows down as he sees it do so. Walking slowly to the dead corpse as his face looks like the entire world just ended.
“Ha…haha…I knew it. I knew something like this would happen again”, he says as his voice cracks.
He falls to his knees and looks at the dead corpse. Something inside him shatters and he looks up to the sky to see a thunderbolt coming down at him. He releases an electric field around him and it absorbs the lightning: Stasis Field.
Electric Discharge: Electricity flows through his body and the lightning goes to a certain distance around him destroying everything in the vicinity. The field around him has been flattened down and he looks a bit refreshed but still looks frustrated and faces down.
“Where do I even go now? I don’t even know where I was running to before…haha. Alright, let me think back. I was about to look back for clues in the caves before it suddenly disappeared. Now that I can’t return to it, what did I plan to do before…?”
He turns forward and flashes in a blue light: Flash of Lightning. “Alright, let’s see if I can find the labyrinth that I saw before so long ago”, he says as he dashes through a vally after leaving the wasteland.
In the distance to his left shows a Labyrinth Gate that is glowing in the middle of nowhere. It gets struck by the lightning of the skies and does not get affected by it.
….
Approximately three weeks have passed. Hyaku stands at the bottom of a mountain where a gate is directly connected onto the mountain.side. He looks tired holding his knees bent down catching his breath from constantly running without breaks for the past few weeks.
“Dammit all…specifically looking for one is a pain in the ass. I barely remember but I don’t think it was this hard to find one. Sigh…”, he takes a few deep breaths then looks up at the labyrinth.
Electrical Surge: A technique that allows electricity to flow outside his body to increase his speed and power slightly but now is used to light up the gate to look around it.
Hyaku sees that this gate has more key holes than the last gate he saw so he was relieved to see that it was a different actual gate. He also looked at the symbols around the gate that were a language. This time he was not able to read any of it.
He backed away from the gate and fell to his butt. A takes a few deep breaths and wipes his forehead
“Haha, I really think I’m hallucinating. I was just probably seeing things back then. Well, probably…this gate is completely different, from the design to the writings” he says as he looks a bit confused and scratches his head .
Hyaku seems to be concerned about something but can’t quite get his finger on it and then it hits him.
“Of course this gate is different”, he says, covering his face with his hand. “There must be many different gates so ofc this one is probably different. Sigh, so there is still a possibility that the other gate is out there…..though it’s not like I’m gonna leave this gate to go look for it since I can try unlocking it.”
Not wasting time, he gets back up and tries to see if there is some kind of clue on the gate that he can press onto to help him. As he tries to, a mysterious aura stops him from touching it. Confused and Lost as he is he tries touching the gate from a different angle and continues to be blocked. “What!?”
“Some type of restriction? A requirement? That has to be it, right? Or maybe it’s something else?”
Stepping away from the gate, he gathers energy to his right fist. Lightning surges around it and a massive glow shows itself and he launches it toward the gate: Raging Bolt. The barrier continues to stand in front tanking his attack and him struggling to push through and failing.
“Dammit!”,he says as he spreads his fist and faces all 5 fingers toward the gate touching the barrier. He releases lightning from his hand and tries electrocuting the gate, trying to shatter the barrier: Electric Shock. It lasts for about 10 seconds and then he gets struck by an unexpected lightning bolt. He took it head on and fell down.
His vision gets blurry as he tries to stay conscious thinking to himself, “I’m so confused…what is the restriction? I-I just have to keep thinking…so many possibilities to consider. I have to…stay focused…”
He passes out in front of the gate. His resistance for lightning is quite high but that can only take him so far since lightning can still hurt him.
The storm clouds hit the gate in front of Hyaku’s unconscious body and does not get affected by it. The gate begins to glow a few seconds after.
A few days have passed.and Hyaku has woken up a few minutes ago. His eyes looked shocked with a sign of intense rage building inside him. Clenching his fists and his lightning zapping around him every so often with a powerful flow.
Turning to where Hyaku looks is where the mountain side is. There as he looks, the Labyrinth Gate has disappeared. No trace to be seen and a man who is close to going crazy.
Back where the water lies deep in the canyon, the girl with golden hair’s eyes fidget/squint a bit almost as she is responding to the energy she is sensing. The serpent continues to be around her, not moving and staying there like it’s its job.
