Prelude: Sun Duza

Now that you’re here, are you ready for the action, the romance, the drama? Are you prepared to listen to a tale that is destined to take you to new heights, pushing the boundaries of storytelling, testing the limits of each of our four very important, very different, very lost heroes? 

Are you ready, Dear Traveler, to dive into the disorder of the Ninth Heaven – the spirit world in which you are now part of, whether you asked for it or not?

Well, there’s a lot we have to cover, so you can take a break, catch your breath and listen to this tale while you rest your weary feet. Really, you should do something for them – your feet that is. Soak them. Or better yet hide – ah, cover them up. Here’s a complimentary shroud. No offense meant by it. It’s simply my job to make you comfortable after such a long journey.

Now. Let’s get on with it.

I know that look in your eye. You came for the one. The only. The legendary… Sun Wukong. Am I right? Ah. Hate to break it to you, but you won’t be getting that monkey god king tale. So sorry.

Instead, I’ll be telling you about one of Sun Wukong’s clones, like myself. And no, it won’t be me specifically because my life is not that interesting.

I’m sure that since you’ve made it this far, you’ve met at least a dozen sun clones by now.

No? Strange…

Huh. I guess it would be rude of me not to properly introduce myself. I am Sun Duza, one of the highest ranking bards among sun clones. But yes, anyway, back to our actual main character.

Brace yourself for the adventures of quite a forgettable, underwhelming clone named Sun Ritsu. 

At the time that our story begins, Ritsu is not exactly where he wants to be. He finds himself working for tips in a remote noodle house for the spirits. 

But hold on, it gets better!

Everything about his inadequate existence turns upside down the night he serves a spider spirit on the run from the law. There was a bounty on her head marking her Wanted – dead or alive …
