Tainted - Chapter 13
Alexander gripped the top of the sink and steadied himself, he had just about escaped his thoughts with the pain in his body when she approached him. Splashing cold water on his face, the man cooled his head and stared at his reflection in the mirror, he grabbed the cotton pads and cleansed whatever he could reach, leaving the rest and returning to the now empty room. He let out a breath once he noticed that she wasn’t there anymore, grabbed the clean shirt from one of the cupboards and changed into it before pushing the things back into the first aid kit and stepping out of the room.
He had been slightly out of it, too many frustrating thoughts, too many annoyances, and for some reason, he couldn’t reach Cael or anyone for that matter. Even Thian wasn’t answering any of his calls. If that didn’t send an alarm off in his head, he didn’t know what would. Walking out to the living room, he searched the area for her, eventually finding her at the couch near the fireplace with what looked like a bottle of one of his father’s whiskey in her hand. With three large strides towards her, Alexander took the bottle out of her hand before she could drown herself in it and frowned.
“What the hell are you doing?” Alexander saw the anger in her eyes, or maybe it was frustration. Whatever it was, she didn’t look happy, her eyes were red and a bit swollen, her bottom lip stuck out and trembled a little and she continued to glare at him as though he’d just snatched her firstborn from her arms.
“You have eyes Kasimir, what does it look like? Give it back.” she moved up to her feet and struggled for a bit before reaching to grab his arm with the liquor in it.
“First of all, this shit will kill you. Secondly...” He set the liquor away from them on the coffee table and then turned his attention back to her. His focus was now on the sight of her arm where she had been wincing for the night. Putting a hand on her right arm he turned her around to keep her back towards him as he held the top of her shoulder blade. The cry she let out had confirmed his thoughts, she did hurt her arm. “Relax, it’ll be over before you know it” he whispered into her ear and carefully massaged the area, letting his fingers work around the bone and with two more painful cries, she was sobbing in what he hoped was relief.
“I hate this... I hate this so much! Give me back the rum!” she sniffled, bending her head and keeping her gaze low. Ste was still rubbing her arm protectively, not attempting to use her right arm as she tried stepping around him for the liquor when he blocked her.
“I hate this just as much as you do, so please, don’t make it any harder” Alexander’s frown was starting to become permanently etched on his lips.
Theia squeezed her eyes and rubbed her face lightly, she willed herself to listen to him, still hating that condescending way he spoke to her as if she didn’t already know that it was hard. It wasn’t like she was intentionally making things harder because she wanted to. She was just as frustrated as he was right now, he was the one who told her to get lost, so why the hell was he here?
“I thought you didn’t want to be around me?” she questioned, waiting to see what ridiculous excuse he’d use this time.
“You make things difficult pixie, don’t get it twisted” He shrugged.
“I make things difficult? I was trying to help” she scoffed.
“You did enough”
“I will never understand you” she pressed her lips together and ran her tongue over her teeth in annoyance. It was no surprise every conversation with him turned into a bicker and argument. Just once she wished he would be transparent with her, without all these damn circles he ran her around. Watching him put the liquor back into the shelf and then disappear into the kitchen, she sat on the couch and curled her knees to her chest. Alexander returned to her with the same first aid kit he was using earlier, two glasses of water and a pack of ice, lifting the latter to her as she turned the other way.
“I don’t need it” she muttered, reaching for the pillow when he pulled her hand away and sat the ice pack in her palm.
“Put it on your shoulder pixie”
“You do it then, I don’t want to”
Alexander watched her, for a second his already dark eyes seemed to grow even more mysterious, and she wondered if her comment threw him off guard. It wasn’t like the man shied away from his desires when it came to her, maybe that was why he had been so snappy earlier. No, impossible. There was no way that was the reason. Alexander got to one knee, reached up with the ice pack and pulled her hand down so that he could look at her shoulder. With a short pull of the shirt, she exposed her shoulder at the top of the collar which was more stretched out than she expected. Theia stared at the way he forced himself to focus on the ice pack instead of her bare skin.
She was also a bit more aware of the fact that she was wearing nothing else beneath the shirt and sweatpants, and the fabric felt more foreign against her than she expected. Closing her eyes, she let out a soft groan the second the ice pack came into contact with her skin. It hurt, and it hurt enough to distract her from her thoughts. Theia whimpered, her hands moving up and clawing at his bare forearm that held the ice pack over her. Damn it hurt. It hurt like a bitch. She couldn’t imagine the pain she would get in the morning, but it was enough for her to verbally wince a few more times until the man pulled it away from her.
“It hurts” she muttered, biting her lip hard and shuddering at the pain.
“Bear with it just a bit longer” he reapplied the ice at a different angle, moving close enough so that she was now almost face to face with him.
“I don’t want to... Everything hurts, Xander. You don’t get it” she choked on a whimper, biting back the tears threatening to fall. She felt so vulnerable at the moment, if her brother was here, she would’ve crawled next to him for that warmth, or even his presence would reassure her. Too caught up in her despair to notice that Alexander removed the ice and had moved closer to her, Theia’s eyes widened, her head tilting back and before she knew it, Alexander’s forehead was pressed to hers shortly.
“You’re right Aletheia, I don’t get it... I probably never will, but I need you to be strong enough for us to get through this” his deep voice was strangely calming.
“I don’t know how long I can do this for” she admitted, his thumb brushed over her cheek while she stared at his mouth. There was that temptation once more, crawling up her throat, he smelt like soap and mothballs but it was strangely inviting. Pushing herself up, Theia kissed him, this time fisting her fingers around his shirt and dragging him down on her over the couch once the man’s lips were on hers. Sue didn’t care that her shoulder ached, or that she hated him, she most definitely didn’t care that it was a bad idea, Alexander’s kiss was all it took to send her thoughts out of her head.
The kiss took both of them by surprise, at first Theia expected him to pull back, or even hesitate for a second, but the man responded just as eagerly as she did, moving over her so that his larger body didn’t crush her over the couch as they kissed their way until breathless. Dragging her tongue along his bottom lip, she pried her way in to taste him, that familiar taste of sin was incredibly tempting, it sent a light prick of static down her body to her hips where he had somehow cradled between. Pushing her fingers through his damp hair, Theia ran her tongue along his, curling upward until she was prodding at the roof of his mouth, not quite giving him the chance to take charge yet, instead, she broke the kiss and tugged gently on his hair with a soft moan.
“Hah... Don’t say anything, just kiss me” she stopped him before he could talk, pressing their lips together once more and earning a low purr of satisfaction from the man.
“Mh, you’re going to regret that pixie” He moaned over her lips, one arm around her hip hoisting her flat onto the couch so that he could crawl between her legs and return the needy kiss.
Theia couldn’t focus, blood rushed in her ear and all she could hear was her heartbeat thudding in her chest once Alexander gave her the chance to experience more of his mouth. Theia’s fingers were still curled into his hair, tugging at it ever so often to hear him growl in pleasure. It seemed like he enjoyed it since it not only earned a verbal response but caused the man to grab her at the hips even tighter. She could feel his body, more specifically, she could feel the hardness of his crotch pressing between her legs. Alexander snuck his way under her shirt, feeling her skin and dragging his nails near the lining of her pants, teasing the area and pushing a finger along the waistband only to pull and let it snap against her skin.
Theia jumped a little but paid it no attention, too focused on the heated kiss between them that shot all the annoyance, anger, and hatred she felt for him out of the window. When they broke apart for a second, trying to catch their breath, Theia looked at him, the warm cast of the fireplace only revealed parts of his face, and for a second, she couldn’t stop thinking about how dangerously attractive he looked in the moment, lust in his eyes, a gaze of pure mischief, and something else.
“What? Thinking about how to escape pixie?” he spoke first and her eyes left his lips to look at him.
“Maybe” she taunted, liking the way his frown deepened.
“I won’t let you” He replied, pressing their foreheads together once again and then chuckling, “Not until I taste you” with that he dragged his lips along her neck, to her collarbone and kissed the area she had bruised. It left a bittersweet pain that had her groaning softly, yet she didn’t pull back, her head fell to the side as Alexander kissed her collarbone and her neck, peppering her skin with large open mouth kisses.
Theia squirmed a bit under his touch, the ticklish sensation rocked through her and he had made no effort in easing up from the attacks on her skin. Squeezing her eyes shut, she bit her lip to stifle the moans, Alexander’s fingers crawling under her shirt higher and higher until he reached her ribcage. Holding her gently he massaged his thumbs, up along the sides of her torso and then in, just under her breasts. With small circular motions, he massaged his way further, cupping her breasts in his hands and gently squeezing.
Her eyes widened, a moment of realisation filling her as the man thumbed her nipples, rolling his thumb along the soft nubs until they grew to hardened points. With a light pinch, Theia’s moan escaped her, her face flushed in embarrassment as Alexander left her neck to slide down her body. She began to protest, a bit nervous, however, the minute his lips kissed her stomach, she had squeaked a bit in pleasure and her words escaped her.
