Arderas pulls his car up to the kerb in front of my house and gives me a blank stare. I looked ahead and unbuckled myself, but just as I was ready to exit, he stops me by grabbing my lower arm.
" Meltem, don't tell your brother about this," He said as I closed my eyes and exhaled bitterly.

Why do people think I'm naive and stupid just because I'm a year younger than them?

I opened my eyes and turned my head to look at him. "I'm not an idiot, Arderas."
"Do you believe I'm stupid enough to tell my brother? He'll never let me see the daylight again." I said it honestly, my severe expression fixed on him.

He nods to himself while holding the steering wheel.
" Okay, I'm just keeping an eye out for you."

"Don't. You have Lia to do that "I responded angrily as I turned around and exited his car before slamming the door shut. I turn around, watching Arderas get out of his car and move over to me, obstructing my path.
"Move, Arderas," I ordered sternly, avoiding looking him in the eyes. I return my gaze to him, noticing that he was now frowning down at me.

"No, we're going to talk about it."
"What exactly do I need to be on the lookout for?"
"Tell me, I'm listening," he shouts furiously as he approaches me. I swallow hard, feeling insignificant in comparison to him. When Arderas gets close enough, he comes to a complete stop.

" Nothing," I said softly as I walked by him, but he grabbed my arm and yanked me back in front of him. He leans up close to my face and grips me strongly.

"Tell me," He said. I swallowed hard and looked him in the eyes.

"Go home, Arderas" I replied directly, walking passed him and straight to my front door.
"Or go to your girlfriends, I don't care." I pull out my keys and place them in the keyhole.

"I'm going to have to stay the night."

"Wait, what?" My heart skipped a beat and I dropped my keys as I stated this in disbelief. I turn around to see Arderas approaching me, and we both kneel to the ground. I reach for my keys, and he does as well, causing him to brush up against my hand. I let out a low gasp and gaze at him, and he does the same. My cheeks flushed as He stared into my eyes, then to my lips.

"I got it," I murmured anxiously as I took the key and stood up. Opening the door by shoving the key into the keyhole.

We both enter the house, and I rush to the living room.
Caden was dead asleep on the couch. Of course, he was squandered. It's not surprising.

"I suppose I'll just sleep on the couch as well."

"No, don't be ridiculous. Just crash into my brother's room."

"Are you certain?"

"Positive," I answered as I walked up the steps, hearing him close behind me. Caden's room happens to be directly in front of mine.
" Okay, goodnight,"
I responded hurriedly as I dashed into my bedroom and shut the door without looking or hearing what Arderas had to say. I let out a long sigh.

I began removing my skirt and top, leaving only my bra and underwear. I turned around when I heard my bedroom door gently open and saw Arderas standing there staring at me. His gaze descends to my body and darkens somewhat.
"Oh my god, get out!"
I yelled and hurled a pillow at him, covering my body with the garments I had just removed. He swiftly closes the door, and I change into my pajamas. I burst out of my room, seeing him still scratching his head out in the corridor. He looks down at my attire as he swings his head over to me.

"What the hell Arderas, have you ever heard of the term "knocking"?"

"I'm sorry, I'm a little tipsy," he said, and I groaned and nodded.

He's understandable.

"Nice pajamas" I looked down and smiled at what he said before returning my gaze to him.

"Thank you"

"Can you tell me if there's anything to wear to bed?"

I took a few moments to look around and contemplate.
" Just take whatever Caden has"

" I need help, please" I groaned irritably. Walking into Caden's room and over to his closet. I open the door and strew around, looking for clothes for Arderas.

" This is what you had to do, Arderas, it was a simple task." I murmured this while raising my toes to see what else he could wear.

I was instantly aware of Arderas' presence behind me, and I carefully lowered my feet. I'm noticing a change in my breathing pattern. I gently turn around, my eyes widening as I notice he's standing close behind me. He looks at me with a smile on his face. I take a step back as he takes a step forwards, losing my balance and about to fall backwards when he grabs my arm and pulls me back to him. I let out a small gasp as I stare into his gorgeous brown eyes. I could feel his breath tickling my skin because our faces were so near.

" What about Lia?"

"W-What?" I shattered, and I completely forgot what he was talking about. My mind went black, and I farted in my head.

"I'm not with Lia," He said. I returned my gaze to his, trying hard not to smile.

Is he not with Lia?

Oh my goodness.

But wait a minute, why would he lie?

"Ok, I don't mind?" I lied, I do care, and this was the most wonderful thing I have ever heard. My stomach churned with butterflies.
"What makes you think you'd lie my brother?" I inquired, my face flushed with perplexity.

He smirks and smiles softly at me.
"Because he thinks I'm interested in you."

My eyes widen as I sense my heart about to burst.

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god

This is excessive for me.

It's too much for one night.

"Oh. It's late, so goodnight "I brushed him off, my cheeks flushing. He walks up behind me as I approach the bedroom door. I open the door, but he closes it from behind. I drew in a deep breath and expanded my eyes. He spins me around and gently slams me into the door.

"I thought you didn't care?" In a low raspy voice, he replied, referring to when I claimed I didn't care. My cheeks were getting a darker shade of crimson. He grins even wider, his eyes darting around my features. He lean into my body and softly placed his hand on the door behind me.

"I don't," I responded, turning to the side and coming to a complete halt when he placed his other hand on the door. I'm stuck in the middle. Turning around to face him, I take a nervous gulp.
"I...I don't," I said, hoping to persuade him. He lets go of one hand and pulls me in closer. My hands are placed on his chest.

"You don't huh?" He murmured, peering down at me, as if he didn't believe me. My heart felt like it was going to burst out of my chest.
"But I care," he continued, causing a tiny grimace on my face. He presses his lips on mine as he leans in. I scream inside as I widen my eyes. He put his hand behind my back and drew me further closer to him so he could kiss me even more deeply. I kissed him back while closing my eyes and grasping his shirt. His other hand reaches down and grabs my ass. I moaned quietly, and his lips brushed against mine with a smirk.

What happens when Meltem develops feelings for her brother's best friend Arderas but rejects her?
Will he accept her years later, with her new appearance?
