The Cracking Crystal part 3:
There we were, out training in the heat of the war,[and the desert]. Billy and I were too busy messing around to notice we had been called upon by our Sergeant several times.Sergeant Silkmor had warned us of a possible attack from our enemies at the time, and that we should be ready to fight at every second. One of the troops jokingly [and stupidly] said that the enemy wouldn’t be that smart to drop in on us at that moment in time. The sergeant challenged him by saying that if the enemy was to drop 7000 soldiers fully equiped and had 390 missiles and jets right behind him would he be ready to take them on?-Simple answer, of course not, right?-Well, our sergeant always expected us to be a full army within one being, having backups or more troops was just help which wouldn’t be necessary. In retrospect, it did sound like he had faith and hope in us, hope that even if we were alone, all by ourselves, we would win. Back then we just thought he was giving us hope and courage which we didn’t have.
Almost like lightning we heard the sound of 209010 troops headed towards our nearing area, we were going out for good. We all got our things together, and like that, we were whizzed out into battle. The section I was in had to make sure all our items and other things were kept safe, so we had to head to our second base. Billy and a lot of others were also joining me. Just before we left we examined our path, and to our dismay, there were enemies there. Within one second, BOOM, we were off, all running up there as fast as we could.
There were turrets from the enemy ships, blasting the sand like crazy. Some of us got too much sand and we couldn’t see anymore, others tripped in the massive holes made by the blasts, but we kept going, all us would keep going. Billy and I, we were next to each-other, I wanted to go ahead but I didn’t want him to feel like I cared about the mission more, even though I didn’t, but, he let me go further up. I ran below the turrets of the ship so I couldn’t get hurt, and, I turned to Billy and gestured for him to come here too as it’s safe.
He tried his best, he ran as fast as he ever could, but it wasn’t enough. One of the missiles hit him in the chest. It was too late, he was gone. I screamed his name and stopped.Almost like the world slowed down around me. I didn’t know what to think or say, my best friend, laying there, dead on the rough, coarse, and irritating desert sand. As the others ran past me I rushed over to him. I watched as he struggled to breathe, his chest pumping like an old and rusty machine. As he breathed his last breath my eyes flooded with tears. He was gone, for good.
As time stopped all around me I could hear muffled voices, shouting my name. But I didn’t respond. I was frozen like a statue. But something did catch my attention. It was something in the sand which was glowing a bright yellow. As I drew my eyes towards it I noticed something, it was moving towards us, towards Billy. As the crystal went underneath him his chest lit up with the same blinding light.
I stepped back and watched in horror as the crystal pushed itself into his body, forming new veins and blood cells, but all yellow. The hole in his chest hidden, like sewing a patch on an old teddy. He rose up, up above all the enemy jets. His eyes became this, yellow oval, with one black line in the middle.
The crystal formed on his waist, like a belt buckle, with it still glowing bright yellow.
I stood there, in complete fear of what was in front of me. The body of Billy announced himself, saying the words, “Billy Akinmoz is no more, he is now...DELUSIONAL THE DEMON!” The other troops and some of the enemy troops/jets stopped and looked at this. The sergeant rushed over to me and asked what happened, I was going to reply, but DELUSIONAL raised its hand and grew twice the size, and when it stopped, it screamed louder than a thousand dead souls, with the ground and some of the ships whipped back from this.
DELUSIONAL lowered its hand down enough for all of us to see that it had one of the same eyes from its face ingrained into the middle.DELUSIONAL twisted its hand to face our Sergeant. I picked up on this and stepped in front of him, but when I turned around I saw visible cross-hatching coming from the “Outline” of our sergeant with a slight yellow glow to him. I clenched my fist and started to sweat as I awaited what would happen. And within one second, serg was in front of DELUSIONAL . I looked up as I saw the horror in his eyes. I readied myself to go up and help, however...DELUSIONAL bit his entire head off with its sharp and glowing yellow teeth…
Not only me but, everyone watched on in horror at the sight before us. Right then and there we only knew nothing and we weren’t ready for it. As we all felt like we were frozen DELUSIONAL started strutting towards our second base, destroying anyone and anything in its way. As I formed a moon blue energy around my hands, my eyes started to glow the same blue and all around me I glowed blue. As some other soldiers stepped up next to/behind/in front of me we charged into battle and to save Billy.
100000 years later we were still fighting it. As me and some [old, new, miscellaneous] soldiers were passing through the old desert which we once fought on, a storm was brewing close to us, two be exact. One was the mixture of grey clouds, dulling the area like curtains, lighting and thunder illuminating this hell hole of an area, and the rain, making us damp, [none of us minded though]. The second one was two of the wooden pillars used as a makeshift prison of sorts falling down, and breaking into large chunks/small pieces. Our enemy was near, but we weren’t sure what to do. And just like that we heard a massive T H U D in front of us and a million sand grains flew up into the air. DELUSIONAL had followed us there and now it had made sure there was no running away. It roared the same roar it did when it formed, with more sand flying around us. I charged up a super aura, making the purest blue light, and the others all got their weapons out.
We all went out to DELUSIONAL in a frenzy, with people attacking from all angles. I dodged most of its attacks, but when I got hit I was hit hard and I fell down, with my body reducing to its low power state, but not normal state. As I was starting to get myself up I saw DELUSIONAL stare at me, with the same eyes it gave to our sergeant, it was out for my soul.
I shouted for help as I felt myself being lifted out but nothing came through, no one could hear me, they were too busy fighting off mini versions of DELUSIONAL , or dead to hear me, but, no one looked like they could see, and it looked like they were talking to someone below who didn’t exist. As I started to go faster and closer to DELUSIONAL , I now had realised how to get rid of the demon who took my friend. I pointed my hand towards one of the pillars, with my hand and then soon, the pillar glowing. What felt like super speed I, Y O I N K E D, the pillar into DELUSIONAL’s humongous face with it screaming in pain in a sound unrecognizable to any ear or sound system.
It was buried deep in the sand, with it shrunk back to normal and all of its clones gone, and its glow to be non-existent, [minus the yellow tint from the crystal]. I placed my hand on the crystal and dug my nails in with the hopes I’d get it out. After ages of trying I finally managed to rip it out and bring Billy back.
But the reality kicked in when I saw him come back, with his chest hole and closed eyes..
..One of the others with me worked at a crystal hut [a shop for unsafe and/or rare gemstones] took the now dubbed “Demon Crystal” from my ripped, injured, and bare hands, with the others following him to exit carrying their weapons. Leaving me and the body of someone who was gone. . ..
This story is probably the most I’ll do for these stories. This story is done using the character of ‘Tsuki’, (a name I got from a game), who is given god-like powers in a sense. The character of ‘Billy’ isn’t used as the narrator as, like the previous story, this is more from an outside perspective, but more involved.
This story is the end, but not forever….
