A few hours later, Tegan finally arrived home and she looked beautiful in a black top and a short denim skirt that showed off her amazing long legs with black small heeled shoes. Her brown hair was flowing down her back with small curls and she looked relieved to be home. When Tegan saw me she was startled and gasped.
“Who the hell are you?” Tegan asked me angrily. She may be angry but she is still hot.
“You don’t recognise me?” I asked in a small hurt voice. How could she not know who I am? Oh wait. I haven’t introduced myself to her in my true form.
“No. I’ve never seen you before in my life,” Tegan looked around the room.
“Where’s Diago and Cole? What have you done to them? If you’ve hurt them I swear I’ll-” Tegan began.
“Relax, I haven’t done anything to them. I’m Cole and this is my true adult form,” I interrupted and gestured to myself. “Diago went home as soon as I turned back,”
I stood up and walked towards Tegan but she took a step back so I stopped and stood a few steps away.
“I don’t believe you, you can’t be Cole. You could be anyone and you look nothing like him,” Tegan exclaimed. I tried to get closer to Tegan again but she wouldn’t let me.
“What can I do to make you believe me?” I almost begged.
“I don’t know,”
“Maybe I could tell you something only Cole would know,” I suggested a minute later when Tegan didn’t answer.
“Ok,” Tegan agreed and I thought about what I could tell her, then I thought of something.
“When we first met you told me I was gorgeous and asked Jac if you could hold me. Jac said you should ask me and when you did, I held my arms up to you and you held me,”
“That’s true but you could have bullied Diago into telling you that before murdering him,” Tegan implied but I ignored that and told her more. I’m surprised I remember so much when I had no clue what was going on around me then.
“You asked Jac why my eyes were blue and she said it was because baby Demons can have any eye colour except black. Jac said she needed to discuss something before you could take me home, you put me down but I didn’t like it and began crying until you picked me up again. You and Jac had a chat and then you took me to your room to pack because I refused to let you go without me. Diago brought you here and showed you around before leaving. Then-” I began but Tegan interrupted me.
“Ok I get it, you know everything about what has happened between Cole and I but that doesn’t mean you are him,”
“Then call Diago and ask him,” I prompted.
“I will,” Tegan agreed after a bit of hesitation. She took out her phone from her pocket and looked for Diago’s number before pressing the call button.
“Hi Tegan, what’s up?” Diago answered a few seconds later.
“What does Cole look like?” Tegan asked.
“Why?”
“Well............. There is a Demon here who is claiming to be Cole,”
“I see. Well.................. Cole is tall, well built, he has black short hair and his eyes are all black. Do you want me to come over and make sure it is Cole?”
“Yes that would be nice,”
“Ok. I’ll be there in a second,” Diago finished and hung up.
“Is Diago on his way?” I asked but I already knew, I heard everything with my super advanced Demonic hearing.
“Yes,”
“Good, he can tell you that I am who I say I am,” I said with a knowing look.
“We’ll see,” Tegan replied.
A while later, Diago appeared before us.
“Diago how many times have I told you not to just come in? Use the damn door,” I said angrily.
“Sorry man but this is an emergency. I have to tell your gorgeous wife that you are her husband Cole and not some murderous Demon that’s here to kill her,” Diago said cockily. Man I hate him, I have no idea why we’re still friends. Wait, it’s because he helped me but that doesn’t mean he can act like this.
“Did you just call my wife gorgeous?”
“Yes, she’s fit,” Diago replied with no shame. “If she wasn’t your wife then I would totally bang her,”
Tegan gasped upon hearing that. How dare Diago say something like that? I’ll kill him. I raised my fist and was about to punch Diago in the face but a soft hand on my arm stopped me, it was Tegan. She stood in front of me to block me from Diago.
“Diago stop provoking my husband,” Tegan told Diago in a warning tone.
“So you believe me now?” I asked Tegan with hope.
“Yes,” Tegan confirmed with an apology of “I’m sorry I didn’t believe you before. I had to make sure it was really you,”
“I understand,” I said.
“See, it all worked out in the end,” Diago said. I want to punch him.
“Leave before I kill you,” I warned.
“I wasn’t planning on staying anyway,” Diago said and without another word he disappeared leaving me alone with my wife at last and she still had her hand on my arm.
“You really believe that I am Cole?” I asked to make sure.
“Yes,” Tegan replied making me smile. I then surprised Tegan by pulling her close into my arms for a hug. I am so glad I am in my true adult form now and I’ll get to do this all the time.
“I missed you,” I mumbled into her neck.
“I missed you too,”
“How’s Liam doing?” I asked when I pulled away from the hug but I put my arms around Tegan’s waist to keep her close to me.
“He’s doing great, the Doctor said he can come home tomorrow,”
“That’s great! You must be glad,”
“I am, it was hard seeing him in such a bad state,”
“It was also really hard for me too, to see you upset. I wanted to comfort you but I couldn’t because of the small form I was in,”
“It’s fine,”
“It’s not fine but I will make up for it now,” I said determinedly and placed a kiss on Tegan’s cheek, she blushed and buried her face into my chest.
“So what was it like?” Tegan asked as she looked up at me curiously. I know exactly what she means.
“Let’s just say, I would rather not go through that again. I prefer to be a man,” I admitted. “Although you did a brilliant job taking care of me,”
Tegan blushed and buried her face into my chest again before mumbling a “You’re welcome,”
“You must be hungry,” Tegan said when she lifted her head away from my chest a minute later.
“I am,” I agreed as my stomach rumbled a little.
“I am too, let’s eat,” Tegan led me to the kitchen with her hand in mine. Tegan was about to go to the refrigerator but I stopped her.
“Let me, I want to cook for you since you have been cooking for me these past couple of months,” I said.
“If you want to,” Tegan replied.
“I want to,”
“Ok then,” Tegan took a seat while I cooked dinner.
An hour later, I placed the food at the dining table and we sat down to eat. The meal was a pasta bake, potatoes and green beans. I had many glasses of blood too because I was craving it after having so little while I was in the small form. Tegan on the other hand, had only one glass full.
“You’re a great cook,” Tegan complimented me once we were finished eating.
“Thank you,” I said with a smile and yawned.
“It’s been a long day, we should go to bed,”
I nodded my head in agreement and a second later we were in our bedroom.
Tegan went to the bathroom and when she came back out a minute later, she was dressed in her pjs but still looked beautiful. I was already laying in bed in only my boxers. Tegan got into the bed and lay beside me but hadn’t realised I was almost naked.
“Goodnight,” Tegan said but she forgot something.
“Tegan?” I asked before Tegan could turn around and fall asleep.
“Hmm?” Tegan hummed.
“You forgot something,”
“What did I forget?” Tegan asked in confusion.
“You forgot to kiss me goodnight and tell me you love me,”
Tegan blushed red before asking “You remember that?”
“Of course I remember,”
Tegan gave a sigh before saying
“I love you,”
Tegan leaned over to kiss my cheek but before she could, I joined our lips together and stole a kiss leaving Tegan in shock. I pulled away and gave her another kiss before saying
“I love you too,”
I put my arms around Tegan before closing my eyes.
