Shin's POV

Isn't it frustrating? While one person was lying down on his bed to take a nap… 'someone' from his city is celebrating their success?

While a person was waiting for someone…

There will always be another lucky person from the other side of the world who receives love more than he or she deserves.

It was as if the world had taken our rights to take a deep but simple breath.

Maybe… All of us were meant to wait for something that we could never reach?

" Would you like to pay by credit card sir?" 

I'm standing in front of a man. He was staring at me as if I was nothing but a stranger.

" No. I would like to pay by cash," 

I handed the cash to pay for the groceries I bought and by that, I felt his cold hands accidentally touch one of my fingertips. 

I met this man years ago but for some reason, now that I came back to the city, I found out that he is currently living a different life– let's just say a completely different identity.

He bears a new name, different age and unfamiliar style. However, there's no way that I could never recognize him.

" Thank you sir. See you again!" He handed my change with his affectionate voice. Somehow, it feels like his eyes were empty and all of his actions were just fabricated but there's no way I could never recognize the very first man I loved the most.

" Yuno… did you really forget about us?" 

The crowd was busy making noises but I am certain that my distance was enough for him to hear what I said. He reacted like he didn't hear anything. Next thing I knew, people were already complaining about me. I was pressured to leave the line. I got my order but I didn't get a chance to talk to him.

Is it really possible for a person to forget something important? Or maybe I wasn't that important to him?

His name was Yuno. But now, he uses 'Juno' as his new name. He was supposed to be the same age as me, but when I browsed through his files, I found out that he made his age younger. There's no way that he's a different person. Yuno had a scar near his wrist. Juno had the same scar too. 

I left the grocery store and decided to go home. Sunny days were supposed to leave an impression of a lively scene. However, these rays of the sun discomfort me. It makes me feel emptier than I could be. 

Once again, I gazed through the store's transparent glass. I can see him greeting other customers.

" Shin? Is that you?" 

A familiar voice coming from the back caught my attention. I faced her and saw her expression. 

It was Camille, a previous classmate of mine. She also knows Yuno which gave me hope to know about Yuno's situation. Back then, Camille would always tease Yuno for his hairstyle preferences. I grabbed her to a place where we cannot be seen by Yuno.

" Camille, I know my appearance was so sudden. But can you tell me what happened to Yuno? You know something about it, don't you?" 

She began combing her bangs with her hands. I was anxious by the way she dodges my gaze. Riko and I just came back to this city 2 weeks ago but within that 2 weeks, I've been observing Yuno.

" You left without even leaving a proper goodbye," 

Her voice was trembling. I could feel that she's restraining herself to slap me.

" I was forced to move out. You guys know about my parents," 

" Still, you could've sent us a letter," I felt my breathing stopped. 

" You mean… you and Yuno never received my letters?"
