The time for the blood test came and everything seemed to be fine with everyone else, no one was sent home or sent to the nurse so it was like every other blood test that had happened until it was my turn. I thought that I might be sick or something because I was feeling off the past few days which could also be a reason my body started moving on its own at that time, but the worker looked confused when looking at my blood sample, I watched him talk to the other girl in the room and they were talking about something new that showed up in my blood. I think that's what they were talking about at least but I couldn't tell because there was a soundproof glass panel between where the kids were and then the room for the workers, I cant lips read that well. This made me think that I might be a late developer and that was why I was feeling weird but why would they say new shouldn't they just say " she's got an ability now" and be done with it so why all the talking and analyzing it. 

     The man walked in with his clipboard in hand and two other people behind him. " We found a new type of substance in your blood and need to analyze it further, while this is happening we need to take you and quarantine you." There's a new substance in my blood, what could it be? Am I going home? Am I going to die? I don't want to die. I followed them calmly until I knew what was going on. We walked through a poorly lit hallway which I don't think I've seen before but this place is pretty big so there was probably a lot I haven't seen so I continued to follow which was probably the most stupid thing I could've done.

      When we got to the end of the hallway it looked like a dead-end until the workers put a code into a keypad on the wall and the wall opened up like something out of an action movie. Inside this room was a glass container that you put pets into like the cages you put snakes but it was for humans, they were going to put me into this for god know how long. I wasn't going in without a fight so I protested and tried to fight back but apparently when you have a reputation for fighting back people start preparing for it. They had new and fancy gadgets like tasers, like high-grade tasers. They wanted to hurt everyone as much as they could while being like 'oh it was just self-defense' they threw me in the container. I guess the container was better because it was bigger than the rooms they gave us, the rooms they gave us were a little bigger than a walk-in closet but this quarantine place was much bigger and the bed was comfier than the beds they gave us as well and I got my own bathroom instead of having to share with about ten other people. 

     They gave me a glass of water before leaving to go continue the blood test, what did they mean there was another substance in my blood. Did this mean I was sick with an illness they haven't seen before or was I going home? Why wouldn't they know what this substance was, aren't they scientists? It doesn't seem likely that they wouldn't know what this is because hundreds of thousands of kids come by here every year, at least one other person had to have it, right? I tried not to think about it much and started looking for anything to do in this container, but it was pretty much empty except for the bed in the corner that had a metal frame with the nightstand beside it and the bathroom in the opposite corner of the bed. On the nightstand, there was the glass of water he gave me. a few magazines about the world outside this lab and off this island. 

     I looked through one of the magazines and it said that there were seven categories all powers had to do with: telekinesis, invisibility, fire, water, electricity, earth, and healing. All abilities had something to do with one of these, and that electricity and earth were the rarest to have because they had a different substance than the other five. There were only five types at this lab. There were only five because there are four sections of the lab with rooms and they have at least four workers in each section and they have to have the same ability. Then there were the nurses or the healers, we have three of them. In my section, we have invisibility users, but in Chloe's section, she has telekinesis users. In the other sections, the adults have water and fire abilities, the fire one is the worst because the workers there are mean so if you even look at them the wrong way you could end up with a 3rd-degree burn.

     I think that I would be a fire because I'm always arguing and fighting with everyone or I could be a water user because I love swimming in the lake outside during my free time. Thinking about what power I could have made me think of what kind of power the mysterious White Fang could have, I think he has an invisibility power, I mean it would go along with his mysterious and know it all act. The more I thought about him the angrier I got, then the lights started flickering which I thought was weird but it could've just been someone messing with the breaker box which happens all the time. I feel like someone is always by it.
