“Yes, this certainly is a strange case. I've never heard of such a case much like this one? Master has had similar cases such as the gold black and white. However his main attributes were only fire and water while those were seen as an extra coloring to his powers and he never excelled himself in those few abilities."
The maid attended to help mother with some research after our little thing with the orb decided to show us something unbeknown.
The room was now stacked with multiple books turned to different pages that each shared details over different attributes formed in the sphere.
The mechanics used to create the sphere were created since the beginning of time and it's been used countless times to build onto books. However my case seems to be unbeknown and from the signs of it father had a similar case but never truly built himself into it.
Were those elements of this world or something other than natural occurrences in the world. Perhaps even more paranormal?
"Feels just like when I was a kid. I've always found myself seeking an answer to things I found myself not knowing or intrigued by."
Mother recalled her youthful memories that led to this moment expressing herself to be the same as she'd ever been. This time seeking an answer for my potential in the use of magic rather than something personal to herself.
I appreciated the work she was putting up for me up till this moment, but this sorta thing should've honestly been done at an older age of myself. That way even I would get myself involved to relieve some of that burden that may be growing into her.
"Shall I look further into this in the Capital?"
"No that is fine, it's better for us to find out when Viole is able to manipulate his own mana."
Interesting, why didn't I think about that.
I imagined the way water functions and its need for oxygen and hydrogen. I lifted my hand to execute a spell as my body tingled as some sort of mechanism formed throughout my veins into my brain and led my actions into my palm.
There was a droplet to appear very small, to it then expanding in size compared to its former. It was a ball of water that had engulfed itself into the palm of my hand in which I had forgotten the attention it would bring from the adults in the room.
Mother had a wide smile as the maid seemed to be somewhat relieved and confused.
"He did it without a chant! Did you see that, Manerva?!"
Mother was excited over my chantless spellcasting which only made the maid weary over my being. The ball of water deteriorated after a while and I produced another as to get another reaction out of the maid now that at this point I've developed myself intelligent.
Even so, my vision and body started to blur. The ball of water was unbalanced as it seemed to be fighting its form until it bursted and I fell unconscious. The last thing to be in my sight was my mother who'd come close to me as if to come to my aid.
"Viole!"
Two hours or so passed and I woke up in my crib from my unconscious state. From the looks of it, two waterballs seemed to be the use of my magic capacity. Basically to beginner level spells are my current maximum potential in exhaling.
It was a small amount, but there was a chance for growth. My capacity in magic will expand as I grow, at least that's what was stated in the book. So now wasn't a time to sulk down over my two spells of chance. I should be looking into my future and the possibilities in magic that I may have.
Still though, will water be my only affinity?
The next day came slowly in my anticipation and mother continued reading to me out of the Textbook. She'd come to an end after reaching the end for the beginner level of magic. Basically there was fire, earth and water to be of the more common beginner level of magic.
The last to show itself as an element although very low in form were wind and lightning.
"What would be another good check of magic for you to use?"
Mother was intrigued over my affinities that she wondered exactly what type of magic I'd be capable of using at my two chanting capacity.
As per her thinking I brought forth a fireball which was minor as I tried not to create a large one like the water ball for the safety of our home.
She was happy as it seemed I was the same as father now and she started to deem it unnecessary to continue checking. Even so my curiosity got the best of me as I proceeded to bring forth a stone made of earth.
I remain without a problem.
Mother continued to be excited although I was more intrigued in how magic works and my capabilities.
This time I forced a breeze of wind with what I could potentially do at the moment. Minor but the best to not cause any damage. I remained perfectly fine and by far one element I know of remained. Lightning supposedly much rarer than the others.
With only a bit of hope and more of just common knowledge. I tried to bring forth sparks of lightning. At first there was nothing as to be expected until minor sparks of purple lightning formed in front of mother and me.
We were both in shock.
