Pokemon: Icy Wind

Dragon Dance

Dragon Dance

Mar 24, 2022

Soon enough, it was the next day. For the trio, Westerdon was quite a long way from Merrycrest; Sammy looked down at her phone, taking a glance at the map as she, Brian, and Tyler walked towards the Newflower City gate.

“Okay, so according to Rotom, it says we have to go south from here, over to Route 8. Then we reach Rosehall, and then go through the west gate to get to Route 9; after that it’s a straight walk to Westerdon.”

Tyler took a glance over to her phone as well.
“Alright, seems simple enough. Although, I sort of wish there was an easier way to get there because it seems so far.”

Brian chuckled slightly.
“I’d suggest riding upon Sam’s Mudbray but…I think we’d have to wait till he evolves into Mudsdale for that, haha.”

Sam lightly rubbed Mudbray's head as it walked beside her.
“One can wish. But until then, we’ll have to go on foot.”

They ventured through Route 8, training up their Pokémon as they battled with each other, and every trainer that stood in their path. As the trio had stopped in Rosehall to heal their Pokémon and rest, they were approached by two fluffy dragons; One was light blue, with multiple back horns across his head, and matching stripes that would go down his torso area. He noticeably had green orbs sticking out of his ear, and his chest fluff. The other, in comparison, was more tan in color; she had enormous bright pink hair flowing down her face, with her eyes, and noticeably water filled horns to match that color.

“Are you guys looking for the way to Westerdon?”
The pink dragon had asked as they approached them.

Tyler stood up.
“That depends, who’s askin’?”

Brian got up and placed his hand on his shoulder.
Indeed! We’re on our way there, why?”

The blue dragon laughed.
“It’s me and my sister’s job to guide trainers there once the evening rolls around, since it’s often hard to navigate the route.”

“How do we know we can trust y-“
Brian and Sammy placed their hands over Tyler’s mouth.

“WILL YOU HUSH-“

“ANYWAY Don’t mind Ty. We’d love to go with you.”

The two dragons laughed and nodded their heads.
“Alright, let’s go!”

Brian, Sammy, and Tyler followed the pair down Route 9, getting to Westerdon City at the cusp of dusk. Upon arriving, they realize it wasn’t really an urban city at all- just a big, old fashioned village with wooden buildings and tents. They explored around, only to find the entire village was inhabited by Angel Dragons and other draconic resembling creatures.

“Ya know, despite it all being so old fashioned, it’s still pretty nice looking, don’t you guys think?”
Brian would say as he turned to his friends.

Sam looked around with excitement in her eyes.
“Oh yeah, absolutely. It’s almost like..a cozy atmosphere, even.”

Tyler nodded.
“Nothing but friendly vibes here is all I’m feeling.”

A pure white angel dragon with orange eyes, and candy corn patterned ears approached Sammy.

“May I ask you to dance, m’lady?”
She would ask her, holding her palm out as the sound of an accordion would start to play and the dragons around them would start to dance in a circle around a bonfire.

Sammy hesitated a little, before sighing with a smile and placing her own hand in hers.
“Ah heck. Why not.”

Brian and Tyler watched, content as she happily bounced around and danced with the other dragons. Two other angel dragons— one being blue with ice crystals for horns and a snow leopard like pattern in his fur, and one being almost black with gradients of pastel purple to green, approached the duo and pulled them in.

“It’s no fun to just stand around and watch, you gotta join in!”
The spotty pastel dragon exclaimed.

Brian blushed a little, embarrassed.
“But…I’m not good at dancing-“

She only giggled at him.
“No one said you had to be! You just gotta move along to the rhythm!”

The three of them continued to dance around in the circle until they got tired, mutually deciding they’ll hit up the Stadium tomorrow. For now they really just wanted to enjoy the company of their new found friends!
