Muffled voices floated around the room, the show they played all forgotten as heated kisses scaled across freckled splashed skin, a soft rumble against the air. Pushing fingers against flushed features.
“You okay puppy?” Gulping down on air he nods a bit, orbs never once leaving mine. Even with crooked glasses all but forgotten against the floor somewhere those dilated pupils stayed glued to my own. Chuckling my fingers run down his neck, over his half-done button up and back. Watching as the goosebumps rose to the surface as he seems to turn into putty between my fingers.
“I- I want to try something.” Newton all but stutters out his voice coming barely above a whisper.
‘Adorable.’
Came to mind as he lifts his fingers to run over my sides, from my thighs up to my waist. Stopping for only a moment before capturing my lips once more. Arms wrapping tight, pulling me as close as possible my tail going high into the air. Swaying slowly before tightening around his upper arm. The soft growl that pulled up from my throat seemed to catch Newton off guard for a second as he chuckles.
Moving so that my back laid on the couch I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him into my chest. Holding him close for a few minutes breathing heavily as his arms made their home back around my waist.
“C-can I- um” Burying his face into my chest his voice is far to mumbled. Shaking my head, I take either side of his face and lift it to look at me.
“What was that puppy?”, “I-um I was wondering if I could-“ A sharp knock on the front door hits our ears. Jutting up, Newton falls onto his face grumbling as a bout of laughter filled the room. “Ow.” Pushing up off the floor, I take his hand and get up behind him. Handing him, his glasses he plants a kiss on my forehead before walking towards the door.
After a moment, I step out into the hallway towards the front door finding Newton talking to Lilith a scowl upon her face as she looks over his shoulder.
“What’s wrong?” I question stepping beside him, Newton shakes his head lifting his hand to rub his eyes under his glasses.
“It looks like things are changing.” Confused I look back over to his sister who looks as though if she could tear someone’s head off, she would with no hesitation. Opening my mouth to say something a sudden cold wave hit my body my legs feeling like jelly as my back hits the wall behind me.
‘What in the hell. What is happening?’
Feeling hands against my side everything felt weird, the floor all but disappearing before soft fabric met my side. Reaching out my hand is caught and laid back against my side as lips met my forehead soft distorted words coming and going.
‘What is going on?!’
With that the distorted world became nothing more than a darkened abyss.

‘There we go.’
Fixing the sheets against Derek’s body, his hand grabs mine, his grip weak and I lay his hand back against him. Leaning forward, I kiss his forehead and pull away.
“Are you sure this is for the best.” Lilith questioned, leaning against the doors frame. Turning around I nod, and step passed her, her arms folded over her chest, eyes watching me as I disappear down the stairs. Pulling my shoes on Lilith step over to me.
“Were going into the house of a guy who had helped me kill my best friend and attack what’s mine now. I’m not letting him anywhere near Derek again.” Stomping my foot, I head outside keys in hand. Locking the door as Lilith step out into the nights cool air. The deep green forest jeep sits at the end of the driveway as the jingle of keys hits my ears.
“Then I’m driving.” Hopping into the jeep’s passenger side the rev of the engine rips through the air. Ripping through the dirt and back down the way it came. Fist balled against the doors frame as we reach Ma’s cabin. My Aunt Ruth stands off to the side of the house rage evident on her features. Coming to a stop, I all but throw myself out of the jeep Aunt Ruth meeting me halfway to the porch. Mac’s silhouette through the windows, anger evident on the way his arms swung about.
“Let’s get this over with before Mac ends up tearing the guy’s throat out.” She spoke, curiosity hitting my face as I look to the door.
“What happened? Lilith only told me a little bit when she came to the house.” Motioning for us to enter the house we find Mac against the living room wall eyes bright with rage as he whips his head to look at us.
“I’m going to kill that little hunter! You better do it before I do!!” Mac shouts a growl tearing through his throat as he throws an arm out. Blood against his side leaked through his clothes as I step over to him.
“What happened?”, “That shit headhunter came to my bar tonight and took it among himself to try and pick a fight with me while I was taking care of trash. Oli’s got hurt and must stay with his parents till things recover. I am not happy about this! I want his head on a silver platter!!” Mac shouts standing up from the wall his bones shifting under skin as his nails dig into his side. Try and failing to keep himself calm.
Only to be pulled away by Ruth who all but yanks him through the house and out the backdoor.
“Well looks like we will have our work cut out for us if he was able to rile Mac up this bad.” Lilith spoke walking passed me and into one of the living room chairs. Falling into it as Ma stepped down the stairs. Her tired eyes moving around the room.
“Derek’s not here?”, “Yeah, um made him stay at the cabin till this is done.” I quickly responded fixing my glasses as she reached me. Humming softly, she lays her hand on my shoulder a knowing look crossing her eyes as Lilith smiled form the living room.
“Protective AWWW!” She jokes as Mac and Aunt Ruth return, his features cold as he nodded towards us. “Just as bad as you Mac.” Confusion danced across his eyes as he looked between the three of us.
“What?”

Stepping around Garrett’s house everything seemed to go according to plan. The only source of light being the dull streetlight that till this day barely shown against the below concrete. The horrid rumble of rustic engine rings out, the headlight swiping over the woodlands before disappearing down the road the rumbling becoming nothing but a distant cry to how much that truck has possibly went through.
Ducking into the backyard the soft growl reaches our ears, Lilith steps between me and whatever had been angry enough to make itself known.
“Aww, what a cutie.” Lilith mumbled squatting, her metallic leg dragging against the dirt as a growling pits face comes into view. No bigger than a year old or so with how it tilts its head and fights back against the chain that held it. “Poor baby, lets see if I can get ya out of there huh?” The soft babying voice was barely above a whisper as she kept her head low to dig her nails into the chains.
“Lilith.” Mac hissed out eyeing her as she undoes the chain around the pits neck, its pink nose going into her gut and whimper softly.
“Looks like she made a new friend.” I respond, shaking my head and heading towards Garrett’s bedroom window. “I’ll check his room.”
“I’ll check the living room and kitchen.” Mac spoke rounding to the side of the house, his footfalls disappearing into the night as Lilith picked up the pit. Ducking the poor thing under her arm before looking to me.
“Alexis’ going to love him.” She smirked, shaking my head I dig my nail into the windowsill and push it up.
‘No resistance. He hadn’t locked it. Good,’
Pulling up into the darkened room the only light being the moonlight that splashed against the almost burnt like carpet. Soft snoring reaches my ears. Looking over the girl he had brought with him lays passed out, the covers giving to no thought what they had been doing, and with that thought I feel bile rise in my throat. If only she knew what a monster he was.
Taking a slow deep breath, the agitating smell of stale cigarettes still lay within the very foundation of the house. Creeping over to his closet, I reluctantly dig through the mass of cut up shirts, stained sheets that would need more then bleach to save them, and within the back far within the darkness a pristine black duffle bag.
Pulling it out my fingers glide across the top finding the zipper in no time and propping open its contents. Several dark unlabeled black cassette tapes. Looking the bag over once more, it almost seems untouched, a small layer of dust hadn’t settled against the fabric.
The cold of metal against the back of my neck freezing me in place as a familiar crooked voice pierced my thoughts.
“Now, now, what do we have here? A mutt scrounging through trash?” Pushing the barrel into my neck her voice lay sharp as she commands. “GET UP.” Doing so, I keep a loose grip on the strap. “I have a feeling you’re here for something, but what should be far from your self-preservation by this point.”
“You know what he did.”, “Revealed a monster. Oh, sorry revealed you if I remember correctly.” The sneer against her voice makes my blood boil. From the corner of my eye deep mixed shades glow against the darkened hallway.
‘Mac.’
Before either of us could do or saw anything Mac tackled her to the ground knocking the shotgun from her grasp as his voice as thick as gravel barked out.
“GO!!” Throwing the bag out the window the girl in the bed shoots up and lets out an ear-piercing scream, something the first kill in a horror movie would be proud of. Falling onto the crunched leaves below, hands grip my shoulders pulling me up onto my feet.
“Go! Go! Go!” Lilith repeated as she pulled me through the woods, bright headlights from the road barreling towards us in some vain attempt to follow through the thicket. But once they figure out that the truck itself wouldn’t be able to follow the loud shot rang out awakening the forestry.
‘What the fuck have we gotten ourselves into!’
