Richter didn’t like the idea of almost being killed, and to be fair, neither would anyone else. Then I came to two options, I could run with my friends or I could face him and make him never bully us again. I chose the obvious option, I ran. I took my friends and ran faster than an explosion manipulator could explode himself away, and don’t get me wrong if I could win I would have stayed but my arms were sore and I didn’t want to draw attention to myself.
“How can you use ki?!”
“I’ll tell you once we get safe!” We ran to our favorite hiding spot, under the rusty stairway that nobody uses.
“Ok, now explain to us how you can use ki all of a sudden, this is big, really big, and you didn’t think to tell us?”
“Calm down Templeton I’m just as confused as you.” He doubted what I had said, but I guess it seemed like I put too much concentration for it to be pure luck. Really, the only explanation I could think of was absurd, and it was that when I snap, I get sent to a different dimension that looks the same but I’m able to use ki in that dimension, and while my consciousness was transported to the other dimension self, while my body here did things it normally. Anything I learned when I snapped, I should be able to use in my dimension. I tested my theory by trying to use fire, I could heat myself up but no fire came out, then I tried earth again and I could use it just the way I learned it. If my theories are actually correct, then what happens if I learn multiple traits? Will I lose the first one? This wasn’t exactly the time to question myself though. I knew Richters gonna come to try to find us or call professors and complain how their star student was almost killed. We weren’t exactly in a safe position, so I took my friends to the same river in the identically alternative dimension.

I am quite confused about how August is able to use ki, and I’ve been with him for nine years now. We were childhood friends from the start and a little boy, August, came along and was amazed how I was simply making water droplets stop for a second before gravity took control again. I knew that any water user could do this but instead of a single second they could do this while they were in a thirty-minute fight to the death, but little August was confused, that's when he explained that his ki pool never got to grow and he couldn’t even do the simplest things. It was quite sad seeing how a boy was much weaker than me but what he had was better than any attribute in the entire world, what he had was positivity. That man could die and still be smiling in the heavens, but for all these years I’ve known him, this was all he had, and now here he comes with ki use better than Lukes and mine combined. This was extraordinary for anyone that knew him well, which is why he looked so guilty I guess.
“So, about earth-”
“I don’t know.” August immediately cut him off. He seemed touchy about this subject so I advised Luke to just let him be.

Oh, my poor little innocent friends. If what I could do is an all-time thing, they have no idea how much trouble I put them in, but since it is my fault, I should be responsible for them. I decided that the best way to let them free again is by never seeing them again, but they’ve been with me for too long for me to just suddenly shut them off, alas, it was the best choice.
“I can’t see you guys anymore, listen here and listen carefully, from now on I’m going my own way, so I’ll head up north this river while you guys go back to school, and any following I see will put you in grave danger.” I felt so bad saying this but this was all I could do for them. I’m just glad that they seemed to understand. They headed slowly back towards our school while I decided to see what would happen if I went back to the Bluelands. I went to the village trade in hopes that someone would take the soup I got for a map of our continent. I met a rich person who was also awfully nice, and it’s rare seeing guys like that. He offered to just buy me a map because to him, it was just a piece of paper, so together we went and bought a map. I thanked him and he left and this is how I realized that the dream world is much smaller than the real world. While I was dreaming I could go to the Bluelands by walking for an hour but here it takes nine miles to get there and I can’t even begin to think how long that would be, but hey let's look on the positive side. Only nine miles, it could’ve been hundreds but it’s only nine I kept reminding myself, it seemed that this was stupid but it was all I could think of. I was walking for what seemed like hours and I checked the time at a nearby shack but it said only 5 minutes had passed, I got out of the shack in dismay and started walking when I heard leaves rustling. I heard a voice, it sounded a lot like the men in my dream, and I recognized the metal man's voice immediately. I hid behind the bush, listening to things like,
“Break her kneecaps and she’ll shut up!”
“But sir we can’t get money from her parents if we give their daughter back crippled.”
“Right you are private, just muzzle her somehow or she's gonna make lots ‘o noise.” That girl was taken hostage, and it sounded like there were two fire users so she must be using fire. I waited for the boss guy to take a bathroom break because he sure seems that place a lot. As soon as he left I was going to attack when I realized I shouldn’t get involved, but the leader said,
“How much money you reckon we’d get? ‘Cuz it’s from a royal family, I hear her dads the king and the mum from the Blackheart family.”
