Sleepy eyes slowly open to reveal an unfamiliar ceiling.
‘Did I fall asleep somewhere weird again?’ He wouldn’t be surprised. I mean, he fell asleep in a broken deep freezer once just because he found it too troublesome to walk home in the pouring rain.
‘It was surprisingly cozy too.’
“Oh, you’re finally awake!” Came a familiar silky voice.
‘Right. I was being harassed by a pretty boy in an alleyway.’ Lin remembered as Noel walk towards him with a silver tray.
“I was kinda worried since you wouldn’t wake up even after I put smelling salt under your nose.” Said Noel as he placed the silver tray next to Lin.
Lin had then noticed that he was lying on a comfy mattress with a soft blanket draped over him. Even the pillow he was laying on was nice and plush.
“Where am I?” Lin asked the killer as he examined the bland room.
“Oh, yes! Of course you’ll be curious.” Noel giggled. “You’re currently inside of my basement. You see, whenever I find someone who isn’t worth killing right away, I bring them here.”
“Here?” Lin took another look around the room and noticed some splotches of what looked like dried blood.
“Yes. Here.” Noel giggled again. “I chain them up and I take my time playing with them until they either find a way to kill themselves or become a bore.” Noel explained with a bright smile.
“So that’s why I feel more languid than usual.” Lin muttered as he took notice of the heavy chains that fit snuggly around is wrists and ankles.
“Do they hurt? I tried to not make them too tight.”
Lin gave the blond man a curious look. “No, they don’t.”
‘Why would a deranged psycho care about the wellbeing of their victims?’ Lin curiously thought.
“’Why would he care about my wellbeing?’ That’s what you’re thinking, right?”
“Essentially.” Lin answered as he wondered how the blond knew.
‘Is he as psychic?’
“I knew it!” Noel exclaimed with excitement. “You have a stone face, but your eyes a pretty expressive.”
“….so, you’re not a psychic….” Lin muttered to himself, but Noel managed to catch it.
“What? Of course I’m not a psychic…. Oh!” Noel chuckled to himself. “Were you perhaps thinking that if I was psychic then you wouldn’t have to go through the hassle of speaking?”
“Basically.” Lin shrugged.
Noel started to laugh. “You’re way easier to read than I thought!” Noel said in-between breathes, but then suddenly stops. “Oh, right!”
Lin watches his kidnapper curiously as Noel searched his pockets. “Here we go.”
Noel pulled out a purple earring. It dangled from a golden string, as it twinkled in the sunlight that a small window provided.
“It’s clean.” Lin commented.
“Yup! I spent hours upon hours scrubbing all that gunk off it. It’s also sterilized of course.” Noel said in an exhausted tone.
“That’s good I guess.”
‘Why is he showing it to me?’
“The reason why I’m showing this to you, is because I’m giving it back to you.” The blonde giggled as he attached the earring to Lin’s left ear.
The earring dangled beautifully from the alabaster ear, but of course, Lin could understandably not understand why someone who probably still had intentions to kill him would give him back such an expensive earring. Let alone put it on him.
“I didn’t want it. I even threw it away, so why give it back?”
“Because it looks good on you, and shouldn’t things that look good on you stay with you?” Noel replied with a soft smile.
Lin stared into lifeless blue eyes, trying to figure out the true reason for this sudden act of kindness, but then almost immediately gave up.
‘Whatever. It’s too much of a hassle to care.’ Lin concluded.
There was then a sudden loud growl and both Lin and Noel turned their gaze towards the source. Lin’s stomach rumbled, as if complaining about the lack of nutrients it should’ve been receiving by now.
“I’m hungry.” Lin deadpanned.
Noel, who had been trying and failing to hold in his laughter, gave Lin an amused look. “So I can hear.” He replied with a little chuckle.
“Since you kidnapped me, you should take responsibility and feed me.”
“I know, I know. That’s exactly why I made you such a delectable breakfast.” Noel helped Lin sit up and then laid the silver tray on his lap. “I present to you…” Noel uncovered the tray to reveal a golden omelet drizzled in ketchup with four strips of bacon and a cup of orange juice. “…my very special cheesy omelet with maple bacon and freshly squeezed orange juice.”
Lin stared at the meal as drool started to slowly drip down his chin. Noel softly chuckled at the silly reaction and handed him a fork. “Eat up~”
The kidnapped man wasted no time, as he took a generous bite out of the cheesy goodness of which was the heaven made omelet. Green eyes seemed to twinkle in delight as their owner’s tastebuds sang blissfully.
‘What kind of a god made such a delicious masterpiece?! I want to eat more, but the chains are making it too much of a hassle to eat…’ At that moment, for once in his nonexistent life, Lin cursed his laziness.
Noel watched the man’s inner turmoil with dead but very amused blue eyes. By the way Lin was reacting, he can pretty much guess why his victim wasn’t attempting to take another bite.
With a small chuckle, Noel took the fork from out of the listless man’s grasp, scooped up another piece of that godly omelet, and brought it up to Lin’s lips. “Say ‘Ahhhh’~” Noel giggled.
Normally, one would refute such an action. Especially if it was a psycho killer who also happens to be your kidnapper, but as we can all see, Lin was far from normal. Lin showed no hesitation as he consumed the amazing bite.
Dead dull eyes shimmered with a bit of light as he continued to feed the lazy little lamb that he was so happy to have kidnapped.
That was how Lin peacefully spent his new life.
Noel would come to his room inside of the basement and brought him food, entertainment, clean linen, and new acquaintances. He would also come and bathe him. Which at first, Lin was kind of against, but quickly changed his tune when he realized that he didn’t have to waste his “energy” on cleaning himself. Plus, it just felt absolutely amazing to be pampered like a useless pet. Heck, if Noel had asked for him to bark, Lin would’ve asked for how long.
Though Lin also quickly realized that he was the only one to enjoy these special treatments. Everyone else around the lazy man was treated like toys who were meant to be broken.
They were tutored and toyed with every day. So many cried, so much blood was spilled, and no matter how much they kicked and screamed in the beginning, they became like broken dolls in the end. Like the brunette that situated herself at the end of Lin’s bed. She at first was screaming at Lin to help her break everyone out, but soon realized that Lin had basically resigned himself to becoming a moocher to her soon-to-be killer.
“…why…why won’t…why won’t you help…” The brunette whispered as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“…”
‘Nah. Too much of a hassle to reply.’ The reached cold-hearted man thought as he snuggled more into his warm and fluffy pillow.
There was then a creak of a door as Noel stepped inside while carrying a stranger, who was probably unconscious, like a sack of potatoes.
‘His latest victim I guess.’
Noel stopped dead in his tracks once he saw exactly how close the brunette was sitting near his special little lamb.
With a false smile, he nonchalantly walked up to the woman and then sent her an unsuspecting kick to the face that sent her flying away from Lin’s bed. His other victims huddled closer to their corners in hopes of being forgotten. There was an unspoken rule that everyone seemed to catch up on once they’re there for at least a day. Never go near the sickly-looking man when the pretty kidnapper is around.
The brunette didn’t move from where she landed, but everyone there could hear the small sobs from under her long hair.
“Good evening, Lin~” Noel brightly greeted his favorite lamb, as he chained up his latest victim. Lin gave a small yawn and Noel giggled. “Though I guess in your case, it’s morning.”
“Mm”
“Are you hungry?”
“Just tired.”
“Do you want me to bring you another blanket?”
“Nah.”
“Okay. I’ll check up on you again in a little bit, then maybe I can tell you the rest of that story about me accidently setting my school on fire.”
“’Kay.”
With that, Noel left the bland room full of prisoners. That’s how Lin and Noel always interacted throughout these long five months. Lin and every other sane person were still baffled by how long he was willing to stay for the sake of laziness, and how long Noel had kept him alive.
‘Whether he kills me or not, I won’t move an inch from this luxurious life. I’ll happily stay here for all of eternity.’ Lin thought blissfully.
Agonizing screams, terror filled cries, bone-chilling cracks and crunches, hair-raising laughter, and pools of blood did very little to change outlook on this new life that a certain blond gave him.
To Lin, said blond wasn’t even such a bad guy once you got to know him. Lin found out a lot about Noel during his five months stay. Like how he likes the color green and is traumatized of dogs. How he can’t sleep in silence and hates the snow. Or even how he loves the ocean and all of its inhabitants but can’t swim to save his life, quite literally.
‘He’s a pretty great and surprisingly silly guy, and I’m kind of glad that he kidnapped me.’ The number one crazy idiot that has ever been born on this earth thought sleepily, but that sleepy thought was shattered when he suddenly jolted upright thanks to the extremely loud banging coming from upstairs.

Dust and long abandoned webs fell from the ceiling as the banging continued. Whimpers and cries could be heard from the terrified and most definitely traumatized prisoners.
‘The police maybe?’ Lin speculated.
His question was answered when he heard loud and hurried footsteps flying down the basement stairs and the door to the bland room bursting open to reveal a winded Noel with a backpack on his shoulder and a gun in his hand.
“We’ve gotta go.” He informed Lin, as he went to go pick him up, but stopped as more footsteps came hurdling down the stairs.
“FBI! PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!” A man called out as he trained his gun at the blond killer, but sadly for him, Noel had quick reflexes and shot the agent in the head in one quick and fluid motion. Terrified screams and ear-piercing bangs were all you can hear as Noel continued to shoot as he slowly made his way to the stairs, closing the door to the room Lin pretty much now called his home.
There was a sudden movement to Lin’s left and he watched as the new addition to their room coughed up some kind of small object and quickly made away with the chains that bound him. He then stood and addressed the room with a hushed but calm tone.
“Hello everyone. I am Agent Nicolai Harren and I am here to help insure that all of you make it out of here and back to your families.” The handsome agent informed. Many hushed cries of joy and relief echoed around the around the room along with the sound of bullets. The handsome man then turned to Lin. “May I perhaps know your name?” The agent asked politely.
“Lin.”
“Lin…you’re the one who’s been missing for over five months.” Agent Harren said in shocked confusion.
“The one and only.”
The handsome agent stared at Lin, before walking over and kneeling beside him. “Don’t worry.” The agent started as he placed his hand on Lin’s shoulder for reassurance. “We will get you out of here, and we most definitely will bring that blond bastard to justice.” Agent Harren assured with determined chocolate eyes.
Joy should be felt as the warmth of safety and the soon-to-be kept promise of freedom chases away months of cold fear and terrifying horrors.
“Nah, I actually don’t mind staying here.” Lin deadpanned.
But alas, our main character isn’t normal and is too lazy to give two damns about freedom and justice. Let alone the so called “fear” and “terrifying horrors” he supposedly endured.
Agent Harren’s brown eyes stared at indifferent greens with nothing but pure bewilderment.
“…what?”
A sudden whizzing sound passed Lin’s ear and warm liquid landed on his face. The handsome agent who was kneeling beside the lazy man, continued to stare into shocked greens as one chocolate eye dimmed while the other cried tears of blood, before slowly falling into Lin’s arms. The green-eyed man could feel his white t-shirt slowly becoming wet.
‘Huh. The FBI shot one of their own agents…pretty ironic…’
But Lin couldn’t enjoy that thought thanks to
another bullet nailing him right in the head.
