After my dad's little indication, I tried calling him thrice but he ignored my call. Voluntarily. 

"What's with your face?" Oliver asked me as I walked to him, he was already at ease in a fauteuil with some magazine

"I- We just have one more problem," he seemed to be asking himself what that was, but I wasn't planning to tell him "But let's resolve them one by one" I sat next to him "So how can we convince Mason to help us?"

"Honestly, I don't know" he set his magazine  away

"But he is your friend, I am sure you can find something" If he didn't have any clues, I don't how I could have

"I don't know, he's a softy who likes books" he responds truthfully "Maybe we can bribe him with books" he joked. 

At least, I think he joked, there was no way it could ever work. Unless it was some limited book he really like, and I doubt we could afford it.

"Does he like romance books?" I tried

"I don't know maybe?" he thought "But that doesn't mean he will agree to be with Isabella" Oliver let me know

"I know but I need somewhere to start!" I answered and I saw Mason at the time "Mason, we're here" I indicated to him. He came over seemingly unmotivated

"Guys, I really don't think that's a good idea. This whole thing. Aren't you supposed to be her best friend? We barely ever spoke, I am sure she must not even know who I am"

"Dude, she sees you all the time!" Oliver exclaimed

"She sees you all the time, and I happen to be here that's all" he pointed out

"Yes but-" Oliver start but didn't have any arguments, he finally decide on a lame "I am sure she knows your name"

What Mason was saying wasn't untrue. She sure did know who he was, but she wasn't really noticing him. Pretty much saw him as a good figurant of her own movie. It needed to change.

"Then, it's a chance for both of you" I began, "You two never really spoke or interacted with each other. It's a good pretext, I am sure you could match each other"

"I don't know" he seemed reluctant, he pauses before remembering something "Oliver always told me she is annoying"

"Ooops" Oliver snorted

"Not that much" I glared at him "It's because you don't know her enough, or else you would be under her charms"

"Well, I certainly was not" he bantered

"Shh, It's an exception because you weren't mean to be" I tried shutting him up

How were we supposed to convince his friend if he was like that?

"Because we are?" Oliver and Mason said at the same time, Mason speaking of himself and Isabella and Oliver speaking of us

"Stop being annoying!"I yelled blushing at both of them "Mason you could only try, I am sure it could work out. Please"

"For the happiness of your best friend!" Oliver supported me

"Yeah, of the both of us. And you only need to try for a while" I wasn't going to force him into a relationship forever

He was about to open his mouth but from his face, I could tell he was hesitating. It was the moment to turn things in our favour. Oliver must've concluded the same because we both beg at the same time "Please!"

Good for us, as Olly said he is a softy
