P.O.V Allen Tyler
I'm not sure why! My entire body aches, and even moving my face muscles hurts. It's almost as if my body went into hibernation for a long time and is now reviving.
I don't want to open my eyes because I know it will cause me unnecessary pain, but I needed to know why my legs felt so heavy. Oh, I truly hope I haven't lost my legs now; that would be a terrible tragedy.
I painfully open my eyes and wait for my sight to adjust to...well, seeing again. When my vision returned to me, I saw a really weird but uplifting scene in front of me.
My mother was sleeping in my room in the middle of the night. She was sleeping on my legs, which explains why I was feeling heavy. My father was sleeping on the chair, so I didn't notice him right away!
Thank goodness! I got a family, that is caring So much about me.
Just as I was about to go to sleep myself, trying not to wake them up,
"Oh! Al! Are you awake? Hmm! Do you feel any better now?" My mother woke up as she asked me with a warm smile and an embrace.
She moved in close to the bed I was placed in, making as little noise as possible. She carefully took the free chair, positioned it near to the bed, and sat, still keeping her silence, while my father slept comfortably.
She gazed at me with her azure eyes, smiled tenderly, and spoke out in the softest voice she could muster.
"I'm pleased you got up sooner than you had planned! How are you feeling?" With a chuckle, she inquired.
"Haha! I'm fine, Mom! Haha!" I said, as I scratched my brows.
Mother chuckled once again as she spoke "You, my dear! Why did you hide the fact! you are an Incantation-less Mage?" with a knuc... I mean a firm pat on the back of my head with a smile.
"Haha! I'm sorry mom! I just thought! I'd train some more and then show you! I sorry!" I replied.
"It's OK! I'm proud of you little Al!" She stated with a smile.
I simply nodded and smiled, expressing my satisfaction.
"Oh What exactly are you two...Ah!..doing?" My father awoke with a groan.
As my mother suddenly showed him some facial signs, I gave him a smile.
My father jumped from his chair to the bed,
"Hey, didn't that challenge get us the results we needed? Ahh? You realized your limits, as well as the benefits and drawbacks.I wanted you to understand that with your natural abilities and enormous Mana Reserve, along with your incantation-less Mage abilities, there have been far too rarely people in history who have had at least the same potential as you! Haha!"
As he groaned in the middle, my father said.
So, exhausted as I was, I inquired, "So, what now Father? Mother?" with a hesitant smile.
"That's a really dumb question for someone as smart as you, Al. Training, training, training, and more training. Then we would think about sending you to Reorus Academy, to show off our adorable genius son. Haha!" My mother said with a smile, while my father beamed proudly.
The Reorus Academy is touted as the most elevated sanctuary for any would-be-mages who are fortunate enough to have both the background and talent to attend. Despite the fact that there were numerous other academies distributed around the Kingdom of Ashpen, the contrast between those second-rate schools and Reorus was unmatched. Those who graduated from Reorus Academy were assured of a great future and life. Well, thats how I read in the guides.
"Sure! It's something I'm looking forward to!"
After hearing my mother's words, I became excited about all of the training that I will have to go through over the following few years.
...
My fourth birthday arrived in less than a year. For my fourth birthday, my mother gave me a Green-Silver ring, that radiated the sense of the forests and life, while my father gave me a Golden ring with a ruby gemstone on top that radiated the feeling of Royalty and Strength. I've also known that..these rings were always worn by my parent.
Well, it seems to be really important.
"Thank you very much, Father! Thank you very much, Mother! The gifts are amazing!"
"Haha! Al, you're growing up so quickly! I can't believe you've been four years! Congratulations on your birthday kiddo!" With a grin, my father said.
"Mm!" I smiled as I nodded.
"Al, also remember! The rings we gave you... It should always be kept safe! It symbolizes both myself and your father! It is critical for both you and us. Okay! hmm!" With a serious expression, my Mother said.
As I heard her, I vowed myself that I would never forget these words and that I would always wear these rings with me. In the honour of me my father and my mother.
Aside from that, I significantly increased both my Core and Mana Manipulation. I can already duel and defeat a Orange Core mage.
My father's and mother's training bore fruit and produced results. My mother taught me some arithmetic and knowledge that will be useful in the future too!
So, I'm glad I was born here, to my father Edwin and mother Chloe.
And, in retrospect, I didn't have any birthdays...heh, yeah! I was a Primordial Demigod, and I wasn't born; rather, I was created by the Greatest Element of Light and the Only Seed of Darkness.
So, then! Let's get started on the training right away...haha! Tomorrow, I suppose. Even if I'm gifted, I'm exhausted right now!
