Yay, chapter 2! I made it week by week according to the time range of the chapter so it'll make it easier to schedule each chapter's deadline. 

Any comments, critism or grammatical errors about my writing is highly recommended.

Week 2, year 17XX

A week has passed since I first wrote my observation on Lady Azelina.

So far, nothing much has changed. The lady still acted as careful with us as always. At this point, we (regretfully) has to accept the fate that we would not see the lady that we once served anymore.

Whenever she rang the bell, only a small group of maids who aren’t bothered with the lady’s cautiousness would tend the lady (that includes me as well). We would tidy up the room and make sure the lady has been cleaned up and fed before leaving the room.

Since it was too early to tell anyone about the lady, the Marquis decided that it would be safer if she was to rest at home for the time being until she was deemed well enough by the doctor. But until then, the twins would keep her company, telling the lady about their days and playing with them to keep her from being bored and lonely.

I think the twin also feel as lonely as lady Azelina.

The only major thing happening was the prince’s visit. I guess the Marquis had informed the royal family of the lady’s current situation, leading to the prince writing a letter to the Marquise about his visit next week to cheer his fiancé up.

We thought this event would bring her to smile, with how affectionate the lady was to the prince. As the royal fiancé who succeeded in taking the position through the fiancé selection, lady Azelina put her utmost effort in getting closer with the Prince, especially when writing letters. She even went as far as making as little free time as she can out of her busy schedule to visit him. That shows how head over heels she was to him.

But we never expected the lady to react in such a way when mentioning prince.

When we first heard of the news, we immediately informed her about the visit. We expected bright blue eyes and a flushed face as young lovers do. Especially with how the prince is famous with the ladies due to his charming face and kind attitude.

Before the lady was able to snatch him, he was in the top 10 most handsome and wanted bachelors in the kingdom. Even someone with amnesia would swoon seeing his face painted and plastered in newspapers

The only thing we received however was the plain “Oh”

We thought we were hallucinating until we saw an even more bored, and possibly annoyed, expression on the lady’s face than before. I’ve heard a long sigh coming out of the lady which is unbecoming of her!

It’s as if the prince himself is just some stranger down the street, whom she occasionally saw but never bothered to meet.

When we gave a letter that the prince wrote exclusively to the lady, she half-heartedly took it. At that time, we thought there was still hope between her and the Prince.

Until she opened the letter, read the first word of the first page, crumpled the letter into a ball and threw it across the room into the fireplace without even a glance in the said direction.

At this point, I was confident that this isn’t lady Azelina, with how accurate she threw the ball.

After that, she shooed us away and slept as if she had done work all day and not resting in her room doing absolutely nothing!

I really wish the prince has matters or issues at that time, giving us some time to open up her affection again for her fiancé.

Or maybe beg her to act as a lover, though I hope we don’t have to go that far.
