Markus was never good at talking to people, especially in tense situations and this time it was no different. He asked almost everyone in the neighborhood about Ursa. And still he had next to no information all He got from the residents had been slammed doors and fearful whispers telling him to end his inquiry. It was already dark by the time he was done so he returned to his apartment. He opened the door, the lights were already on. He stepped inside the room and if was trashed.
"Markus Miller, that's your name right"
A man steps out of the bathroom. He was tall with long blond hair wearing a black suit. His face was familiar, he had been in markus's head so many times.
[Markus] You!
[Suit] Wait wait wait you're that guy remi's always hanging out with! Haha we have really got to stop running into each other like this.
[Markus] GET OUT OF MY APARTMENT!
[Suit] I will after I punch your lights out for Goin after the boss.
He jabs at markus's face he narrowly dodges it falling to the ground
[Suit] a slippery one.
Markus hastily gets up and runs toward his kitchen. He grabs a pan and swings sloppily at the suit.he knocks the pan out of his hand then punches him straight in the gut Markus falls to his knees the suit then dealt a furious blow to his face causing Markus to fall to the ground, barely clinging on to consciousness.
The suit squats down looking over Markus's barely conscious body.
[Suit] wow man even with that height you're pretty weak. It's actually kinda sad. Next time don't mess with the boss or next time it'll be worse alright. Alright.
The suit dusts off his suit and leaves through the door.
Markus's face was bloody and bruised, his body left lying on the floor as he falls out of consciousness.

Sam Snyder was once an optimistic salesman working for a huge company in the richer part of the city. Now however, he was just an old man in a empty home, nothing to do or anywhere to be. So when Remi Ramirez had came to him for advice he was quite shocked.
[Sam] No.
But he was also a grumpy, antisocial middle aged man.
[Remi] Come on, please. Just a few tips.
Remi uncharacteristically whined and begged For hours until finally he broke.
[Sam] Fine! Christ you're a pest.
Her eyes lit up. But as soon as she opened her mouth to ask her barrage of questions she was immediately interrupted
[Sam] hold it. First make me a pot of tea. Preferably ginseng it calms my nerves.
Sam spoke smugly he felt that if Remi was going to pester him he was going to do the same right back.
Ten minutes later Sam got his tea, ten agonizing minutes of Sam's infuriating nitpicking and it was finally time for him to give his infinite wisdom.
[Sam] First you gotta understand what situation you're in. You're under the paw of the bear and he isn't going to like you growing like this.
[Remi] how did you know about that?
[Sam] I know about everything that happens here. I just don't talk about it. Matter if fact that that's your first rule of business, know what's going on in the area. The more you know the better prepared for the day you're going to be.
Remi took out her notepad she had in her pocket and started taking notes. Everything he said she had written down and by the end he had said a lot.
By the time she left it was dark.
[Remi:thought] Maybe I'll go find Markus, now we can come up with a plan together.
When remi left Sam when right back to his normal routine. Watching whatever came on TV that night with a cold Pepsi in his hand he actually felt a bit more uplifted than usual. Just seeing people with that kind spirit lifted his own. But soon enough not more than 30 minutes after remi left he heard something, it was a window being slid open.
He barely moved despite hearing the break-in.
[Sam] I wouldn't have minded much if you came using the door.
The intruder moved stealthily toward Sam.
[?] Still as perceptive as ever Sam.
[Sam] Did Ray really hurt you that badly. Did you have to be so cruel?
[?] Ray betrayed me just like everyone else. His death wasn't cruelty, it was justice for not accepting his punishment.
The man steps out of the shadows. He's an older man with slicked back dark black hair, a stubble and a truly menacing look in his eyes. They were filled to the brim with such hatred and Sam felt that hatred just sitting near him.
[Sam] even if you think it was justice, you killed him,he's dead why drag his child into your darkness.
[?] the sins of the father are sins of the child.
Sam stood up and stood face to face with the man
[Sam] Bear, let the child and her friends go. I mean for one of them is your own son for Christ's sake. Would you really drown three more kids including your own son in your grudge?
[Bear] I would and I will. And you will stop helping them try to escape me.
[Sam] or what you going to kill me. Look around, I'm ready for it! You don't know how long I've been waiting for death!
Bear just looks at Sam and he can tell he isn't bluffing. But just like that he's thought of a new idea, one that makes him smile.
[Bear] You're right Sam, I shouldn't stop you.
[Sam] Huh
[Bear] yes instead I'll let them try to grow let them face the challenges ahead of them including a few challenges of my own. Watching them suffer in the darkness might be fun, and teach that son of mine to toughen up for once.
[Sam] I think you're underestimating them. Just like everyone did us when we were their age.
Bear walks back into the window he came from.
[Bear] I always admired your hopefulness Sam. Too bad it's wasted on a couple of walking corpses.
Bear leaves through the window. And Sam stands there too worried to go back to his routine.
"I hope I’m right about you remi"
