Lisa has entered the world of Mortarition and Sora has just entered Tonvallée. About a few weeks have passed in the Ruinlict Dimension since Hyaku’s last appearance.
Sora has just walked through the portal and entered Tonvallée. He senses a thunderbolt incoming and summons a piece of gold: Golden Creation. He quickly throws it and the thunderbolt strikes it and vaporizes it. Being unable to fully absorb the full direct attack of a bolt of lightning.
“Sheesh, the amount of concentrated energy in this world is truly amazing. I’m glad to have enough resistance to survive a couple of hits but just to be sure.”
He creates several pieces of gold and they start circling him: Golden Creation.
Sora looks up to the sky and takes in a few deep breaths.
“Come to me, Spear of Divulge: Morasu.” The blue spear appears before him but forgets that it has been shattered and destroyed. He stares at the weapon as if he just saw his own son die with his own eyes. The weapon then returns to the Shenma Gate.
“Dammit all! I can’t fix him here…guess I have to sense him. This might take me a while.”
He starts flying in the air, not being able to sense life energy fully but can follow the faint signs of it.
Hyaku is currently on the ground looking a bit more lifeless than before. He is on the ground about 1/4th of the world away.
“What did I hope would happen if I desperately tried…be free? All that did for me was lead to heartbreak…time and time again. Constantly…being used, even if I saw it coming. Why…why would such a world reject me so. What have I done to deserve this?”
Hyaku goes on a rant in his head and takes a closer look at the sky of this world.
“Maybe, it was a better idea to just die. Instead of trying to do the impossible...dammit, it hurts. It hurts…it hurts…it hurts….”
His eyes tear up and slowly closes his eyes.
“Determination is key”, a faint voice in his head says.
He then remembers everything that led up to this. When he first woke up into the world. His first time witnessing a portal open up and not know what it was. People walked out of it and they all got struck by lightning and died in front of his eyes. He was confused as to why that had happened.
Journeying through the world. Not knowing where he was or what was going on around him. He learned how to use his lightning element as he traveled the land and soon came to a realization that the entire world was a dead world and that he was the only survivor.
During his journey he would find multiple labyrinth gates around the world and never thought much of them but did try to decipher and open the gate. Ultimately it was in vain since he did not understand one bit of how it worked.
Desperately seeking to escape he tried understanding how portals worked and how he could find them. Doing everything in his power to do so. He used his element to run all over the world multiple times to see if he could find anything until he figured out a pattern.
Acting on that pattern, he could know where the next portal would open. Sadly that wasn’t enough to help him. Since he could only sense where it would be never meant he would ever reach it in time. Failing to reach the location in time, time and time again slowly began to crush his soul.
Sometimes creatures would be waiting where the portal location was. Not being able to communicate with him they would just attack him. Regardless of what happened next they would die after one or two bolts of lightning.
Slight memories of humanoid demons appear in his memories but are all a blur. Knowing that something must still be wrong.
Until the day he found the canyon, gave him new hope and took his mind off things and that’s when he thought he had found hope. Finding a labyrinth gate like once before in the past and deciding that this is all he can do now. Thinking now he was on the right path. Until something unexpected happened, and another unexpected event.
The disappearances of the gates, the mysterious monster that lives in the canyon. He thought this would piece out eventually in his mind but never got the answer he was looking for. Continuing his search of the labyrinth gates he slowly tried different things to cause some miracle.
The day Osore came was an unexpected thing to happen to him but realized that he was evil and just wanted him dead. Memories of that day are clouded to an extent but still remember the things he said to him.
“Determination…is foolishness. Just let me rest in peace. This world does not want me. I’ve done all I could so please…let me finally be free.
