Months went by…Murders took them. No evidence. No arrests were made. Sabre was undiscovered, hidden, he abandoned every plan he had. After more than 100 cases. He got bored. It became predictable. Too easy. He went back to every day. Normal. Life. It never was entertaining just boring, he was lonely, and had no one to talk to.

Walking to the store he had this blank empty stare. He walked inside and grabbed what he needed. Some steaks, noodles, rice, and a restock on some tea. It was his normal restock of what he needed while heading to the cashier he bumped into somebody by accident. Roman is a navy blue-haired, 5’3, criminologist.

“Apologies sir, I wasn’t looking where I was going.” Sabre apologized and held out a hand for Roman to get up. Roman sighed softly and smiled faintly. “It’s alright. It happens to the best of us.” Roman took his head and got up. He looked up at Sabre and stared for a moment, Sabre stared back he had a feeling this person would be important to him one way or another. “Aren’t you the dead millionaire that-” Sabre quickly grabs his wrist and dragged him to one of the changing rooms in the back and then shoved him into a stall.

“You better listen to me fairly quickly or else we’re gonna have a problem,” Sabre growled lowly, Roman gulped looking up at Sabre. “You’re correct, I am technically dead. But someone had revived me using Witchcraft.” Sabre said to say things in brief. “What do you do for a living?” He raised a brow. Roman took a deep breath. “I-I’m a criminologist sir. One of the best in the country.” Sabre’s growling stopped and his face formed a grin.

“Say, I got something for you. I need you to go onto my record and report that I actually never died but had just fallen into a coma.” Roman was shocked. “But- I couldn’t do that! I could lose my job and I need that job to take care of my pets and my little brother!” He seemed panicked. Sabre’s eyes lit up a little bit. “If you do that for me, you could live with me in my mansion for free. You get proper medical care, insurance, and a place to live all for free. But you serve me got it?” Roman fell quiet, he stayed quiet for a moment and then nodded slowly. “Y-...Y-yes sir.” Sabre smiled. “Good.” He handed Roman a business card.

“Call that number once you get the job done, then send me your address so you can have everything delivered over to my mansion to start living your dream days.” Sabre walked out of the stall grinning and then left the store after he paid for his stuff. Roman sat there frozen, his back slid against the wall behind him and he sat down on the ground. “Why did I even say anything…I’m so fucking screwed.” He teared up slightly and covered his face. “Landon I’m doing this for you…”

___________________

Sabre kept his promise, once the job was done Roman and his little brother Landon started living their best days. They were never in debt, all of it being paid for and Sabre was back in business completely. They were living his best life, Landon was around 5 and didn’t understand that Sabre was just a ‘work partner’ of Roman. He started to call Sabre brother or uncle.

Sabre wouldn’t mind these names and just put them on himself. Roman had been doing his job, he was suspicious of Sabre. He would try to take off the bandages that were on Sabre but Sabre would scold him. His suspicion dropped though seeing his caring nature towards Landon. Maybe all Sabre wanted was to keep living his life as normal. All he wanted was to start things over again.

Though at the same time Roman felt conflicted. Sabre considered him just a work partner and that was all, but Roman started to develop feelings for his boss. His boss showed no interest but he knew Sabre was a hard book to crack open. Not someone interested in love life. Little did he know what Sabre’s true feelings were and what his true intentions were for Roman.

Roman is an OC made by one of my friends, they asked me to use them in this so I decided to.
