Sitting in the backyard, it felt unnatural to be living such a luxurious life. The only reason he was living this life was because of Sabre. But he couldn’t focus on anything, he could only think about Sabre but…he had to tell Sabre about his feelings. What if he leaves me and Landon out on the streets? What if he calls me a weirdo!?...No no no I can’t let that happen! “Roman…Roman!” Sabre called out snapping his fingers in front of the blonde man’s face. Roman snapped out of his daze and looked at Sabre. “Huh..?”

“Sorry about startling you but I was going to ask you what’s wrong. You’ve been quiet and you always avoid my questions about what’s been wrong. You can barely even focus on your work anymore.” He grabbed Roman’s hands looking at them. “You know I get worried so tell me what’s wrong.” Roman felt the lump in his throat, while Sabre sat there cracking his knuckles for him. Sabre was irritated but increasingly concerned.

“Roman I-” “Sabre…I need to confess to you. Just. Promise me you won’t kick me or my brother out.” Roman interrupted while Sabre sat there. Roman’s tone was different, more serious. Sabre nodded slowly. “I promise.” He said firmly. Roman took a deep breath. “I think I’m in love with you Sabre. I know, it’s disgusting. I’m technically in love with a dead person I just can’t help it.”

Sabre was slightly shocked but he could see the signs so he wasn’t too shocked and neither was he mad. “Now, let me tell you my story,” Sabre said and took a deep breath of his own and explained everything. Once he was finished Roman sat there frozen. His thoughts circled of him trying to escape before Sabre could make him or Landon the next victim. But his heart kept holding him back, he could tell Sabre was in pain and grief over this, Sabre was in pain, but he dared to remember everything in his head and tell him the truth.

“I know what you’re gonna say. I’m a monster and then you’re gonna run away and never come back. It’s alright just go ahead I’m waiting for it. Though if you do I’ll the police everything you’ve done for me so far, and I’ll take Landon.” Sabre said quietly. Roman's voice died in his throat while tears formed in the corner of his eyes. “I thought so. Though, just so you know. I love you too.” A small smile grew on sabre’s face as he gave Roman a small kiss on the cheek.

Roman looked at Sabre and fell quiet. “Sabre..” He mumbled. He gently grabbed Sabre’s hands again. “I’m not gonna abandon you after what you’ve done for me, also because I consider you the closest thing I have to family. You took us in and my brother loves you to death and so do I, I’ll never abandon you.” Sabre looked at him and smiled softly. “That’s wonderful darling, I’m so glad you decided to stay. And for the record, I would never hurt you or Landon.”

Roman felt the biggest wave of relief on his shoulders at that moment. “Oh, that’s great. Of course, I wasn’t scared I was just a little concerned.” He hugged Sabre. Sabre wrapped his arm around Roman’s waist and put a hand on his face causing Roman to blush slightly. “Sabre what are youー” He felt a pair of lips on his, and slowly he melted into the kiss. It just felt right to him, he wrapped his arms around Sabre’s neck pulling the man down closer to himself.

He could feel Sabre smile a little in the kiss as he deepened it biting Roman’s bottom lip and asking for entrance. Roman let him still embarrassed Sabre was going this far with their first kiss. Soon they pulled away for breath, a thin string of saliva connecting their lips. Sabre chuckled softly and kissed Roman's head while the shorter man hid his face in Sabre’s chest. “Sorry for the sudden kiss…I want you to know that I love you.” He said softly.
