I got home, grabbed my dad’s wallet and took it to his job. Everyone greeted me when I walked in.
“Your dad forgot his wallet again, didn’t he?” Sandy, one of the clerks asked me.
I nodded.
“He might as well just glue it on himself.” I told her.
She laughed and opened the doors for me. I walked into my dad’s office and sat on the couch in front of his desk.
“Thank you Jay, you are a lifesaver.” My dad told me.
I gave him a thumbs up, then I grabbed a few chocolates my dad had in a bowl on his desk, before I stood up and gave him a hug.
“Have a good day at work.” He told me.
“I will see you at home.” I said leaving the office.
I drove to the beach. I got my bag out of the back seat, and then headed to the locker room where I saw Missy there already. She had a box in her arms and was smiling at me.
“What’s in the box?” I asked her, showing confusion on my face.
“Open it!” She told me so excitedly.
I opened the box and inside were two binoculars, one red and one black. I looked at her.
“Are you for real?” I asked her.
“Yes! I bought them this morning.” she said.
I hugged her. I was so excited that we finally had binoculars. We awere now able to see farther into the water and on the beach.
“We will definitely save more lives with these.” I told Missy to grabas I grabbed the black ones.
“We sure will.” she said.
We walked out of the locker room and sat into our chairs. I tried out the binoculars and they were great; the lenses were so clear. I was so excited, I was having a great time with them, until I saw Avery pulled up. She got out of the car and right behind her was that dude.
I told Missy about that dude and how I felt that something was not right about him.
“It’s probably her boyfriend or something,” She told me.“Let’s not worry about it and save some lives.”
“Yeah, I might be overthinking it.” I replied.
